Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100

1 Answer

I have an HP iPAQ 2495 and under the start menu it continues to show all the recent programs that I have used, regardless of the fact that they are no longer running. How do I make it stop doing this??

There's no way to disable it, but...

You can clear it (from time to time - whenewer you need that) using ClearTemp.

    ClearTemp is an
application for you to free up memory/storage on your device. It allows
you to clear temporary/unused files and unused registry keys/values on
your system easily. It also allows you to clear your Recent Program
List, Internet Address History and boot count. You can even change the
location of the temporary folders (Cache, History & Cookies) or
e-mail attachment folder to the Storage Card. If you have custom
folders which you wish to clear, you can also add them in.

Program does not show on startup menu

The easyest way would be to use your pc's own explorer find the executeable file, right click, make a shortcut, then copy the shortcut into your devices memory to the following locations

\\windows\startmenu\programs\

Then it will show up in start -> programs -> *here* with the other programs, you can also place it in another folder.

if you need more assistance let me know :)

good luck!

Help with IPAQ RX3715

(1) LAST USED APPLICATION Enable password protection. Start>Settings>Password (2) SENSITIVITY / PRIVACY Choosing "Private" prevents the appointment from appearing on your Today screen. I figured this out by creating two appointments for today and making one normal and one private. The private appointment is still viewable in the Calendar application, so if you want to prevent others from being able to access this, enable password protection. (3) TODAY MENU There is no way to do this using the software that came with the iPAQ. However, there may be third-party software that would accomplish it. I did a quick search that turned up nothing, but you might be able to find something. Try handango.com or pocketgear.com.
