Why is my Refrigerator door not forming suction

Really need the model. I will say though that the door on a Subzero does not have to tear you arm off to be sealed.

Subzero 501R fan won't shut down when door closes

HI, I'll be able to help you out but I want to go over some stuff that way you'll have a better understanding of your machine so if I have a question it will easier for you to answer. Lets start out with the fan. The fan your hearing inside the machine is called an evaporator fan. Its located at the top of the machine directly over the evaporator coils, which are behind the back wall, that freon goes through in its gas state to cool the machine. The evaporator coild get cold and the fans job is to pull air from the bottom of the machine, across the coils and intio the refrigerator itself and therefor cooling the whole thing. The fan does not extract air out at all. The suction sound you hear is caused from the machine design and the differential in temperature in and out of the machine. The fan will runs non-stop with only 2 exceptions. First being the door getting opened, which opens the switch, I think on that model is located naer the bottom next to the light switch. If the fan is running after you open the door your door switch is stuck or broken and needs to be fixed, but that wouldnt' tmake the temp raise. The second is when the thermostat registers that its cold enough it shuts the fan off. From the age and what your saying is going on I would first check the condersor coils, located behind the removable grate and see if they are really dirty. That would cause the temp to raise airfloe is blocked and the compressor gets too hot. While down there check the fan to see if its running as that too will cause the machine to get hot if not. Ihe coils are clean and the fan is running call a tech because you probably have a freon leak, which is the likely candidate.

My subzero 550 never stops running. everything is working fine, just had freezer compressor side charged. it just seems wrong to be always running??

try to adjust your thermostat normal setting maybe you set it to maximum setting thats why the temp. cannot reach even your comp.running long hours. or maybe your ref . is over loaded try to lessen the load or your door is have leakage of cold air try to fix gasket.

I have A Subzero 690 and the water no longer comes out as cold

the water container is located on the fresh food side. This is how your water is cooled. I would get a Temp Gauge and put it in the fresh food side to see if the temp is correct.

My subzero is cold, but not really cold

it could be the damper door isnt opening fully due to ice or the cold control is bad,or the motherboard that electronically operates the unit is bad,clue:: if you have recently burned out lights in the refrigerator and the digital temp read-out is now out this is the board gone bad,if you replaced the lights and now they dimly flash when you open the door and you have a rapid clicking noise in the rear area its the relay trying to latch, but the burned board wont let it,you will see the burned area upon removal on the plastic cover and board trace is burned away

A/C comp is ok. Evap and conden ok. Hi side is hot. Suction side cold and condensation all over it. Seems a damper is not opening. HELP

Sounds like the temp door under dash is stuck in the warm position. Have a look under the dash and see if the vacuum line is off the actuator that controls the temp door. Sometimes they will have a small plastic clip that will break or slip loose. Good luck.

Sub-zero not keeping cold. It will cycle on and cool properly, then after a while the temp goes up to near 50 and it takes too long to cycle on to cool down again.

Call a subzero repairman. My subzero had a leak in the refrigerant coolant tubing. Trust me, only a trained and equipped repairman has a prayer of fixing this.

Subzer 550 problem

IF YOUR CONDENSER COILS WERE DIRTY JUST CLEANING TO OUTSIDE OF THE COILS WILL NOT CUT IT YOU WILL NEED TO BLOW AIR THOUGH THE COIL TO GET ALL THE DIRTY OUT OF THEM; USE A SHOP-VAC THAT BLOWS OR A CAN FO COMPRESSED AIR BECAUSE THOSE COILS ARE ABOUT 4 INCHES THICK AND DUST MAY STILL BE TRAPPED. IF YOU STILL HAVE PROBELMS AFTERWARDS CALL A SERVICE COMPANY TO LOOK AT IT UNLESS THE RF IS 22 YRS OR OLDER, SZ RF 650 WHICH IS TODAYS EQUAL RUN ABOUT ABOUT $5500 TO $6200 INSTALLED SO YOU WILL BE BETTER OF FIXING IT THE AVG. COST OF REPAIR IS 225 TO 1500. MASTER APPLIANCE TECH.
