Put a charger on the battery overnight first, yours is a little low. Put the charger on a trickle charge, about 2 amps. A fully charged battery should be at least 13.5 up to 1.2v. It could be that there is enough power to turn it over but not provide power for spark.
If this works, then you need to get your charging system looked at to see why it's not keeping the battery fully charged. The battery may be weak which will show up in a "load test". Your alternator may be starting to wear out or the belt could be stretching and starting to slip or you may have something staying on, when the truck is turned off, that is drawing power. It could also be that the starter is drawing more power because it is starting to wear as well.
Try these and see how it goes. Hope this helps.

Will a starter from a 2008 Ford escape fit onto a 2008 Ford ranger

No, a starter from a 2008 Ford Escape will not fit onto a 2008 Ford Ranger. The starters are specific to each vehicle model and are not interchangeable. The starter is responsible for delivering the electrical current necessary to turn the engine over and start the vehicle, and the design of the starter is different for each vehicle model to fit in the specific engine bay and connect to the battery and solenoid correctly.
If you need to replace the starter in your 2008 Ford Ranger, it's important to use the correct starter designed for your specific vehicle model to ensure proper fit and performance. You can find the right starter for your Ranger by checking the owner's manual or by contacting a Ford dealership or auto parts store.

I have a 2011 Ford Escape XLT 3.0L engine, I came home one night and I got inside 5 mins later I go to leave and it won’t start. I figured it was the starter. So I take the starter out and go get it...

Start with the simple stuff.

What is the battery voltage? It should be 12.5 to 13.2 volts across the terminals.

Now check the voltage from the positive terminal of the battery, to a nice shiny nut or bolt on the body or engine. It should be 12 volts or more.

What happens if you put your headlights on and try to start the car? Do the headlights turn to glow worms? You have a bad or flat battery. 3 years life on bad makes, 6 years on good makes. Walmart batteries are the worst.

The anti-theft system needs reprogramming. See Jeff's information below. He does this stuff as a full time job, with ongoing training.

I have a 2011 Ford Escape 3.0 V6...the car wouldn't start...replaced the starter and it started 2 times right after being replaced...went to start it this morning and it won't start again...turn the key,...

what do ya think??? View wiring diagrams to see what all is involved in the starting of your vehicle - relay's , battery , battery cables , connections, Anti-theft system light lit on the instrument cluster , anti theft will keep the starter from engaging . Test the battery connections an cables .

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop . You have no clue how complex .

Ford Escape 2003 new starter and battery turn over but still drags

Check all terminal connections. I would return the battery and have them check it, even if it is new. I have had this happen to me with a new battery. Next I would have the starter checked. Fully charge the battery with an external charger. Leave it disconnected over night. Reconnect the battery and try to start the vehicle. If it is slow to turn, the battery could have a bad cell in it. Fully charge it before you return it to the store to be checked.

My 1995 acura nsx starts and just got a new battery and then it wil click and will not start and i have to bump the starter intell in starts is the starter or plug wires

The plug wires have nothing to do with the engine not being cranked over by the starter.

If you hear a single click every time you try to start the vehicle and the starter doesn't not turn the engine over than the starter is most likely the problem.

2005 ford escape, starting problems. The battery tests good. Problem began with a clicking sound when key turn to start position...now nothing, no noise, just won't start.

If the battery tests that it is holding a charge and has plenty of volts to otherwise start the vehicle then I would be willing to bet that it is the starter. Try following the red or positive battery cable down to the starter. Have some one turn the key to the start position while you or someone else gently taps on the starter with a hammer to see if it is just stuck. If this does not work, i would take the starter out of the vehicle and take it to a parts store and have it tested before buying a new one.
