Put a used transmission in my 1990 es 250 lexus. Everything was fine for two weeks. This moring it won't shift from second to drive. Could it be the solenoids

sounds like the shift solenoid or speed and wheel sensors,probably still have the same ones,also check tcm

check the brake pedal switch by connecting a test light to it and ground.

When the pedal depresses you might hear a click or see the button depress.

The test light should light or not light changing as you press and release the pedal.

Another way to do this is to change the brake pedal switch and see if it works.

may be the starter, when it hot it won't make contact, try to have some one tap on the starter while you turn the key.

soundss like a clogged catalytic converter as it heats up it constricts more till nothing can pass causing to much back pressure not allowing the motor to turn over

if it has cables for your shifter xheck them they break.im assuming its an standard

It's the medium sized black box located under the drivers seat

the marks on the cam sprockets point up and they should align with the marks on the rear timing belt cover (behind the sprockets)

this is normanl it's a safe mode it protect the tranny from damages.
