This stanby light is when the unit is powered but not turned on, if its stuck in stanby try taking out the battery then using the car adpator to turn it in if it does not turn on then, you have a defect in the unit going ot need repair, however if it does turn on then what yo need to do is replace the battery as that is what causes this fault is when the battery gets so low that it cannot be charged anymore.

Hello,

The power from the source is reaching the durabrand pvs 1970 but the problem is from the main board of the duraband.

A capacitor on the main board is burnt and the best solution is for you to have a repairman change the capacitor of the durabrand pvs 1970 and you pvs would be in good condition again.

There are several capacitors on the board, therefore, you should have the capacitors tested before replacing the worn out capacitor.

Take care

    Hello,

The power is reaching the duraband but the power is not reaching the main board, simply because the capacitor is not reading the power that is being supplied to the duraband.

Have a repairman check the capacitor on the board to correct the error.

    Mostly capacitors need replacement.

Have the capacitor replaced and your duraband pvs will be okay once again.

    Take care

    Hello,

The problem is simply from the power supply.it is not reaching the main board, and the problem is from the power supply panel.

Check the capacitors on it to see if they are flat.

    Take care

I did not know you can handle this yourself. I felt it was technical and required the hands of an expert.

To fix this, open up the duraband, access the capacitors on the power panel to see if it is flat, if not, it means you have a bad capacitor.

Get the panel off the case, turn to the back and try to use a pin tip soldering iron to soldering iron to melt the lead that is holding the capacitor down and replace it with a new capacitor.

Place the panel back in the case and reassemble it back together.

Then you can plug it to a power supply and power it on.

Ensure it is not being exposed to a very high current.

I think this will do the work.

    Take care

I have a PVS 1970 portable dvd player w 2 screen for our car

First, If you have a video IN/OUT switch make sure you have video OUT selected. If you have a blank but lite screen, then your display screen is bad. If you have a dark screen, you should be able to look closely and you might see an image, if so then your backlite might be out. Also make sure not to try to power dual screens with a battery. Make sure the adapter is propery rated for proper output voltage. If repair is needed, you contact me through ebay messaging. Search ebay seller " richards_resale". Good Luck!

How do I charge battery

Simply hook the battery up to the player, plug in the adapter (house AC outlet, car adapter will not recharge batter), and turn the unit off.

The charging light should come on and when it goes out it's fully charged.
