Actually, I believe that if you go to the same language of video game sites as your Wii is (and translate with Google Toolbar) you may be able to purchase games for your Wii that would work. Or, if you want to play specific region-protected games (e.g. English game on Japanese Wii), you can enable homebrew, which is running unauthorized applications on the Wii. One of these apps is one that can disable region-protection on your Wii. But be aware, because if you don't know what you're doing with homebrew, you could screw up your Wii.

I have a new Wii Party and the message says it can't read the disc, yet all my other discs still work. The game was purchased in Canada and mailed to Australia. Can you help please?

If your wii is not a ntsc released wii the game wont work. At least I dont think I know most game systems have certain regions. If thats not the case its probably scratches on the game or the game is defected.

I recently purchased a nintendo wii game (wii sports) and when i put in the disc i click on the game on the screen and the syster just restarts and dont play

Nothing you can fix will cause a restart like that. Any problems you have like this immediately after purchase need to be handled through the system warranty.

Wii Drive Levers

Without the springs your pretty much screwed. They are kind of important in the grand scheme of things. Without those springs you won't have to worry about reassembling it. If you find them, here is a Wii dissasembly guide. Follow it backwards to reassemble. http://www.xbox-modchips.com/wii-tutorials/xcm-wii-dissasembly-guide.htm

Nintendo Wii

Hey Preksha,

According to information provided by the manufacturer, the Nintendo Wii is currently available in both the NTSC and PAL formats. Due to fact that the U.S. primarily utilizes NTSC-format devices, the vast majority of Wii's sold through U.S. retailers most likely would be NTSC-compatible models - this would also apply to the video games sold for the console itself. Keep in mind that there may be some exceptions, but they will most likely be limited to specality stores and direct importers.

In order to ensure that a Wii purchased within the U.S. functions overseas, you would need to make sure that the TV it is connected to is capable of supporting the NTSC format and that the video game(s) purchased for the console were obtained/imported through a country that utilizes the NTSC format as well (U.S., Canada, or Japan). Unfortunately, PAL-coded games may not function in an NTSC-formatted console, and visa versa.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Instruction book is in japanese

I'm pretty sure you can't download games to the hard drive. Actually, i'm pretty sure you can't use a hard drive with a Wii.. how does this drive connect? You probably don't need a hard drive, games save and download oto the Wii console itself, and you can put an SD Memory card in it if you really need to.
