I cant find the hash tag sign in my ASUS lap top,i followed advise i got from the Scot about changing the region and the language but still no joy. Please help.

Hello there!

What you're looking for is actually called "the pound sign". On most computers, the pound sign can be located (and used) by holding down the shift key and tapping the number "3" button.

You could also try using what's called the "character mapper" app. It's built-into Windows:

Do a search from the start menu for "character map". It should pop up fairly quickly for you. From that app, you can physically click on whatever character you need with your mouse. As far as changing the language on your computer, that can be a bit tricky if you have a keyboard which is in a foreign language...

I wish you the best, and hope I was helpful!

You have your keyboard set as US. If you go into control panel, open Regional and Language options and change all of the settings with a country to UK. That will solve your problem.
