You need to access the Motherboard inside...so be careful...u need to open up the system from the below and remove all screws and attachements....

I need to unlock a bios pass word dell D800 latitude

Remove the BIOS battery and the main battery for 20 mins. then replace the batteries and boot up the laptop. If you still cannot get into the BIOS without a password then -
REMOVE BIOS PASSWORD with these programs

PC BIOS toolkit is a password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore.

I need to unlock a bois pass word for dell latitude D800

The best way to unloc a BIOS password is to reset by removing the CMOS battery and while the mains is removed press the power button a few times and leave for about 30 seconds. Refit the battery and power up. Password should be removed.

What type CMOS battery will fit a 1W766 motherboard

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/ussoho1/Product/inspiron-8600

You have to order the battery from a dell service center.

It look like this:

But here could be a difference depeding how old the laptop is.
Here is the other type:

The dell dealer should know what right in your case.

Hope this will help you

Hi, Dell D800 won't start up.

Can you F7 or F8 or whatever your system uses to get into the bios setup screen? If you can accesss that, you can install an operating system. If not, you have an issue. Put an operating system CD in to see if it is recognized for starters.

D800 will not even boot

Okay, I had that problem with my HP less than a minute ago.

Maybe it is the same problem. See if the battery light comes on. Press the power button again and again if it doesn't start, for some time. It may show the boot screen and hang. Now, the battery must be charged. Shut it down directly and switch the AC off.

Now, switch it on and see if the battery light comes on. If it does, it is the same problem as mine. Now, turn the PC over and remove the battery carefully. There may be switches for that.

Now, plug in the AC and start it without the battery in. If it does, you're done. Now, plug in the battery again.
