SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: mac mini desk top can not click

You can access your desktop as though it were any other folder and thus delete its contents however you'd care to.

In Finder, go to the File Menu > New Finder Window. It should automatically open your user folder and show Application, Desktop, Documents, etc. From there, simply open the Desktop folder and delete the files.
If any other window is opened, click on Mac HD > Users > [your user name here] > Desktop and do the same.

G4 desktop cant open desk top

You've not said what system you are using but if it is system 10 go to your home directory then library and then preferences and go to the files com.apple.desktop.plist and com.apple.finder.plist and move it to the trash, then reboot your machine and they will be recreated. Hope this helps.

I could not get my sylvania netbook to connect to my wifi so i download the update from their website to a SD card then opened on the netbook and it deleted everything on the netbook. how can i restore it...

I do not know why your icons disappeared by running the Download, but your programs are still in the on board ROM memory and what you are missing are your desk top icons. I have tried to duplicate your download problem but so far have not been able. I know that using a SD card will not download a usuable file so I used a thumb drive.

Any way please read the following solution that I wrote to another poster.

If you have deleted the icons for those programs on your desk top, then they may be in your Recycle trash bin. double click on Recycle Bin look for the icon for recorder, right click on recorder and select restore. You really cannot delete the programs from your machine as they are retained in a ROM chip , hard coded into the chip and are loaded each time you cut your machine on. The only thing you can do is delete the icons on the desktop, which are sent to the recycle bin.
To retore the machine to factory settings, there is a small hole just about an inch down from the data plate on the back. Using a pencil point or a straightened paper clip, insert the bject into the hole and hold for about 5 seconds. Your deleted icons are not replaced.
A second method to restore your icon is to click on my computer right click on the recorder, select copy, dismiss my computer, find a blank spot on your desktop and right click on that spot, select paste, and a dos type icon appears as your recorder button. When you cut the machine of and back on the Dos type icon is replaced with a CE type icon
To restore all icons:
You can: If you can click on start, click on run, type desk top into the open space and ok it. your icons should be shown. you will have to copy and paste each one back to your desk top, or select edit and then select select all, then click on file, select send to, and select desk top as short cut. Can't delete emails from trash

Hello sir !

Empty Trash Can

In 1982, when Apple created the Apple Lisa user interface, they implemented what they called the Trash Can. The trash can is essentially purgatory for files a user no longer wants. Once sent to the trash, the user has the option of restoring the file back to its original place, or annihilating it completely from the computer’s hard drive. Unless there is a backup of a user’s system from before the file was sent to the trash, there is essentially no way of restoring that file once the trash has been emptied.
This metaphor was carried over to Windows 95 in the form of a Recycle Bin. Perched on the desktop of countless millions of averages users was this bin which, when empty, looked empty, and when it contained files, looked full.
There is safety in the Trash Can metaphor. I know that in order to really delete a file from my system, either on Windows or on Mac OS X, I really have to work at it. Yes, there are times when files are accidentally deleted, but for the most part if I realize my mistake before I empty my Trash, I know the file is safe.
