If your niece has reached adult-age, she is on her own; if not, i is up to her guardian to try to correct her course in life.
In any case, this is a poor venue to try to get help, since it is involved in repairing 'things,' not lives. I wish you (and her) luck-

I am replacing the original 2 prong power cord on my B&K ST 140 amp.I have installed a 3 prong IEC male connector in the back of the amp. The middle prong of the IEC connector is for ground. I plan to...

'L' is for line, or the 'hot', 'N' is for neutral. If the old cord had a polarized plug (one wide blade, one smaller), then yes it matters. The wide blade is neutral, the smaller one hot. If they are both the same, and the wires just connected directly to the primary side of the power transformer, then it does not matter.

Washer is running properly but a code will flash periodically. Code:EFO. What does this mean?

Frigidaire, Zanussi, AEG, & More....

EFO = Filter Blocked (low flow) and it is accessible from the bottom front of the machine.

1. there is a blockage in the filter or drain hose.takes too long to drain out.
2. over dosing of powder or liquid. again can cause an air lock in the pump which slows the drain pump down.

Check the filter and drain hose and test again. this fault will only come up at the end of a cycle.
You do not need to reset the machine to get rid of the fault code as this is automatically deleted.

Run an empty load with no detergent in an attempt to get rid of the code.

Stuck on rinse

Check drain hose under the tub by unscrewing clamps to see if there is any blockage in this pipe; also clean out filter in this area. Disconnect from mains before doing so.
