HI. You have not included your entire model number in your initial post. This is very important to include. Every unit is designed differently, therefore, a proper model number will be required. With that said; You have stated that there is power reaching the unit. This will basically isolate the main control device as the lone culprit. Please provide a valid model number, asap.

Thanks...

I have a Maytag 3000 front loader. It looks the wash is done but I cannot open the door

Unplug the power. Wait 2 minutes, then reconnect the power. You should be able to open the door.
Alternatively, you can UNPLUG the washer and remove the bottom front service panel. Carefully reach up along the inside of that front panel and pull down on the manual release tab that is on the bottom of the door latch assembly. You should then be able to open the washer door. If this doesn't work, you will need to call Maytag for assistance.

Is there a filter on this model

Of course. The filter is located in the pump behind 'front' bottom panel. Disconnect power, remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily. Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Be prepared for a lot of water, catch it in something to prevent more work. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Front loaders hv filters, top loaders don't. Don't forget to click that you are helped!

Maytag Neptune front loader makes loud popping noise, shuts off, and trips circuit breaker. Plus, can't get the door unlocked to get the clothes out.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

Check Power
Check the outlet by plugging an appliance into the same outlet the washer was plugged into an running the appliance a hair dryer works good for this it will draw some amperage. If it works fine move on.

Control
To check the control remove the top panel and then remove the console to access the wiring to the control. Find the wire feeding the control from the main power cord. If you cannot visually see this refer to the tech sheet or service manual. Connect voltmeter to the 2 wires feeding the control if it is recieving power and it does not respond replace the control

My maytag is making and odd noise on the spin cycle.

The is probably a broken suspension part... on front loaders it would be the shock absorbers located underneath the drum.....remove the bottom part of the front panel to access them...on top loaders it will be a broken spring... these are much harder to access and fix.. the top must be removed and then many times the back and/or sides...hopefully you have a front loader and it is just the shocks...very easy fix then.

I need to know how to get into my maytag washer.

it all depends on what type of maytag washer.
  • assuming it is a top loader, and is a standard maytag washer then you will see 2 screws on the front panel almost at the bottom. take these out and you will be able to take the whole front panel off.
