Question about KitchenAid KUDD01SSSS Compact Dishwasher
My client has been having a recurring problem of this machine cutting off after starting the cycle. The indicator light will turn on, and she has to push that to get it to restart. This has to happen a number of times before it will finally finish. I also noticed a small amount of water in the bottom. Any ideas...?

SOURCE: dishwasher doesn't drain
suspect not draining properly all the time. if plumbed into the trap under the sink, then check there is no blockage there. (quite common) . hold drain pump into a bucket so you can see the rate of flow. hold the bucket about 3ft off the floor. if poor flow, then you either have a blockage at the pump or the pump is faulty

SOURCE: Dishwasher wont finish cycle
I have experienced this problem before and it turned out to be the main control board in the console. Not a cheap fix, either. The control boards are not serviceable, and can run over $100. Sorry, I hope I was of some help.

SOURCE: Maytag Quiet Series 300
Sounds like a thermal fuse that is a less than $20 part. remove the top 6 screws in the door that hold the plastic front panel on. Behind that is a circuit board and a white flat 1" square fuse with two wires going to it. make sure power is off at breaker. Test with an meter to see if any current is going thru. If not, that is most likely your problem, and just follow the fuse replacement kit instructions carefully, including putting the new wires on the new fuse like they say. Otherwise, the original wires going to the fuse will blow it too.
Should take about 20 minutes.
