    Hello,

open up the system, remove the memory chip, clean it and clean the memory slot on the motherboard. Also, remove and fix back the hard disk, makes sure all the motherboard components are well fixed and your computer should pick up again.

This is a minor problem, I'm sure.

    Take care.

if your system tell you that "operating system not found", it means your hard disk is not being recognized, as such the system will not boot.

So, open the system again, and re-fix the hard disk, make sure the IDE cable s well fixed. or, you can change the position for the hard disk with that of the CD ROM.

After that, is if the system still does not boot, press f1 as directed by the system, the system will then enter bios setup, go to boot order or boot sequence, you will see the list of your computer components. Makes sure the hard disk comes first before the CD ROM. This will enable the system boot from the hard disk.

Good luck.i try to solbe the problem, but its not work. so now i want to resetup xp but i dont found the boot from cd i found boot from network. so what can i do now. how i open my computer give me good solution.thank

It's not a very serious, if you are lucky, only cleaning the Ram will fix this problem. This is a common problem with Ibm Machine when the Ram is bad or when the Ram is not seated correctly.

Turn off the machine, Open the Case, Remove the Ram and clean it (interfaces) with Eraser (Rubber) and Re-seat it. If the problem persists, you need to replace a New or another working Ram. That'll definitely fix your problem.
The Ram looks like this; Desktop Ram whene i want to - 2f9bd24.jpg

Laptop Ram

If there are multiple Rams, install one while removing the other and vice versa, it's also possible, that only one of the Ram is functioning incorrectly.
Please let me know if the problem persists.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Cannot detect camera

First, ensure that your camera is on. I know it sounds stupid, but I've forgotten that part before ;) If it's still not working, it could be your USB cable. Even if it's new, it could be faulty. If you have another one available try that. I'm not sure where you bought it but most places would require you to return the entire camera in order to get a new cable for it. I would probably talk to Canon about getting a new one or just buy a new cable.

How can I recognize mother board problem if system gives trouble. Could you inform about troubleshooting tricks on motherboard

If the motherboard can detect an error, by itself, it should be in the post Power On Self Test.
If the board did not beep, it could not find an error.
Perhaps you should look in the startup menu, if the post is switched off. Sometimes people switch it of to safe time during startup, but it only takes little time for the computer to do the test.
Perhaps you do have a manual for the board (if you did build the computer yourself, then you can read all about post.

perhaps you copy and paste this line in Google and add the model name and number of your board. See what you can find.

Computer restarts randomly

If you are using Windows (XP, Vista or 7) then open the Computer properties by clicking on the Computer icon (on desktop or start menu) then go to the Advanced page tab and check if you have the option to automatically restart the system set on in the Startup and Recovery Settings section. If this is on, then Windows will restart the system any time that a critical error is encountered.

The other place to check is in the Windows Event logs (system log) provided this option is enabled.
You should be able to access the event logs by right clicking on the Computer icon and then selecting the Manage option followed by opening the Event viewer where you should look for any critical, error or warning entries that may occur at the times when the computer restarts itself (or posted immediately when it restarts).

Im building a computer in school and the speaker that runs during POST connector but i have no ihad (nor my teacher) as to where it goes on my asus M68MT-S2P diagrams or pictures would help . thanks

Hi there,

pcsyke_135.jpg

Sir you posted a ASUS M68MT-S2P, there is no such model, the image above is a Gigabyte M68MT-S2P. all you have to do is plug your system speaker and follow the polarity.
The system reports system startup status by issuing a beep code. One single short beep will be heard if no problem is detected at system startup. If a problem is detected, the BIOS may issue beeps in different patterns to indicate the problem.

Hopefully this information helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Vaio sat survey not working

The VAIO Sat Survey is an Application that loads at the Startup. If the Application in the Computer is corrupted, it will display an error message that the "VAIO Sat Survey has stopped working".

When I turn my computer on, I get a runtime error.

Clean Boot with Only MoSearch loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); The Mosearch.exe (Microsoft Office Search Service) and Mosdmn.exe (Microsoft Office 10 Search Filter Daemon) Startup items may be conflicting with some other program (or programs) running in the background. Therefore, clean boot your computer with only MoSearch selected on the Startup menu to determine whether this program is the source of the conflict. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type msconfig.exe, and then click OK.
  3. On the General tab, click Selective startup.
  4. On the Startup tab, click to clear all check boxes except for MoSearch.

NOTE: In Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), leave the *StateMgr check box selected as well.
  5. Click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
  6. If the error message can be reproduced, repeat the preceding steps. In step 3, also click to clear the Process System.ini file and Process Win.ini file check boxes.
If the error message cannot be reproduced, this indicates that MoSearch is conflicting with some other program or programs running in the background. Follow these steps to locate the conflicting program:
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type msconfig.exe, and then click OK.
  3. On the Startup tab, click to select one of the check boxes.
  4. Click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
  5. If the preceding steps reproduce the error message, the last item added to the Startup menu is causing the conflict. If the error message is not reproduced, repeat these steps until all Startup menu check boxes are selected.
  6. If all the Startup menu check boxes are selected and the error message is still not reproduced, start Msconfig again, and then click to select the Process System.ini file and Process Win.ini file check boxes.
If this doesn't fix it, let me know and I'll post another, more advanced repair.

Good luck, and please let me know how you do.

If the machine is a Dell with DellControlPoint, open start, run then type msconfig and hit enter. Choose the Startup tab and find the startup item named "Dell" with the Command from "C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell Control Point\Connection Manager\Dell.UCM.exe" and uncheck the box. Hit Ok, then reboot your computer.
