Usually the pins will be marked with abbr. on the motherboard next to the pins but if they are not, I take a small flat head screw driver and run it over the pins. When you touch the pins(usually just two) that the power switch is on at the same time the computer will power up. Those will be your power switch pins. I have done it to many of my computers that I build and it has never hurt anything. You might want to try that, it is very easy and quick. I hope that helps you out.

Driver's window

The wiring diagrams for your 2003 GMC Sierra power window circuits are copyrighted material and cannot be posted here. However, I can describe the driver's power window circuit to you.

Battery voltage is provided to the driver's window (master) switch via the ORANGE wire at PIn #2 on the switch connector which comes from the 25 Amp Left Window Circuit breaker located in the fuse block on the left side of the dash.

There is a logic module located inside of the master switch which controls the "Auto Down" feature for the driver's window. When the switch is operated in either the "UP" or "DOWN" position, power and ground is supplied to the window lift motor via the BROWN wire (Pin #1, Connector 2) and the DARK BLUE wire (Pin #3, Connector 2) Thease wires will switch polarity dependin on whether the switch is commanding UP or DOWN.

The schematics show that the ground circuit for the driver's window motor is supplied internally by the driver's window switch module. It is most likely grounded inside the door panel itself - the schematics do not specify. To check for ground, you can test continuity to ground on BOTH the BROWN and the BLUE wires by back-probing them with the switch electrical connector plugged in and the window control switch in the NEUTRAL position. They should both have ground.

When the switch is operated, one will remain ground while the other switches to power.

Dont seem to have enough front panel pins for all my case wires

Hi Greeneyedbj,

What kind of I/O connectors are you looking for *********** board sir?

pcsyke_138.jpg

The image above has the following for your I/O connectors.
1. Three usb headers up to 6 additional devices, most casing can support 2-4 pins. 2. Front Audio Connector. 3. Front Panel Connector. Power Sw, Reset Sw, Powed Led, HDD Led

Branded casing has the following I/O connectors.
1. Esata 2. Firewire (Dont use the USB headers, firewire use a different pin-layout) 3. Chassis Intrusion Alarm Header.

Hopefully this information helps.
You can ask for more help.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Can you help me locate the power switch and reset slot on my samsung polaris 33 motherboard?

I told another guy the same thing about a different board. Samsung doesn't even acknowledge mother boards because they sell generic boards to pc makers. Best way is to take the power wire from the case & start at the pins closest to you on the front panel connectors (fpnl on the board) & try each set of pins one at a time until it turns on when you hit the power switch. The reset is usually right across from the power. I've had to do this numerous times,so don't worry about frying anything.

I am looking for a power connector wiring diagram for the Behringer Eurodesk MX3282A? It was rewired by someone and I think the wire combination is mixed up because when plugged in it seems to blow...

Some of the mixers have common connectors.

It appears that for the three pin connector, pin 2 is center tap of AC source, and pins 1 and 3 are the ends of the transformer windings.

This is from a schematic of a MX2643A which MAY be similar to yours. One of mine has a 3 pin Amphenol connector with a locking screw ring...

Use this info at your own risk, however, the power inout is easy to trace out to verify. They use a typical bridge rectifier to get plus and minus from the external transformer.

The pin markings on the connector CAN be confusing.

Suggest you use the light bulb trick of putting a small lamp in series with the 120 line as an auto reseting fuse.

How to connect front pannel

How about a picture? Pg. 46 in your manual.
Need manual, download from Intel. (Click on link).
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/RC440BX/sb/CS-013608.htm

0d7be67.jpg
Intel RC440BX Specification
Pg. 46
Basic rules case wiring. The color black is considered ground -. Power wires + can be any other color including stripped wires. (This is standard but case Mfg change to their own specification).

Pin 1 is + power for LED Hard drive green LED, Pin 2 is -/ground for Hard drive LED.
(Pin 3 is + power for LED Hard drive yellow LED, Pin 4 is -/ground for Hard drive LED).(See more options on pg. 47).
Pin 5 is + power for case On/off button, Pin 6 is -/ground On/off button.
Pin 7 is + power for Reset Switch, Pin 8 is -/ground for Reset Switch.
Once positive & negative pins has been located each connector follows in suit.

The Intel RC440BX front case connector is in an odd location.
The user will find it hard to connect front case LED connectors while the board in installed into the case.

Good Luck!
