F1 indicates a faulty erc electronic range control or a stuck key pad. First check the keypad by pressing each button one at a time. You should hear a click and feel it fully retract. If it does not replace the keypad. If the keypad is working properly the erc will need to be replaced. Here is a link that should help with this problem http://appliancehelponline.com/ovenerc.html

After a power outage the oven does not work and F1 code appears.

Hello,

the F1 code is a universal service code to ALL brand ovens and it means that one of the buttons on the touch pad has shorted out. You can clear the code by pushing clear/cancel button and if doesnt reappear it was fluke, if it reappears within 15 minutes and once again you push clear and that cycle repeats, the touch pad must be replaced

Good luck,
Gene

Error Code F1 displays once in a while. What does it mean?

How to test many brands of Ranges that are flashing a F1 fault code: You have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad.
1. Disconnect power to stove
2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
5. Turn power back on to stove.
6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.

* ERC - Electronic Range Control

NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part.

Hope helps.

F1 flashing on gas stove-manual says to push clear-where is clear button

HI. This actual code cannot be cleared by pushing the Clear/off button. This actual button will usually be located on the touch pad and is a basic cancel button. You can try to reset the entire control board by simply unplugging the unit for 5 minutes. This may correct the issue. If resetting dose not correct this fault, the necessary actions are to have the defective main PCB replaced, asap.

The stove just says F1 and beeps won't let me do

Hello with the limited information and no make or model I can only give a generic response to this one. Most manufacturers F1 code indicates a bad control board (EOC) and or a bad touch-pad. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike
