A system restore may work in this case.
You can take the system back to before the updates were installed and probably one of the updates themselves have done this.
To access system restore click on the start menu, programs, accessories and then click on system restore.
When the restore window pops up select restore my computer to an earlier time and you should then be presented with a calendar. Choose a date before all this happened.
