This could be an AC adapter problem.Use another same rating adapter for teating.Check your ac adater volt and ampere at output terminals using a good quality digital multimeter. If OK, check the battery also. Then only suspect motherboard and power jack. Hope this helps

Try someone elses charger in your pc, if same fault, its your pc

From the description you have motherboard issues, sub out the ram memory one at a time to see if you can get it started, no change! the dc jack in the laptop is a common source of trouble from no power to intermittent operation, at this point the laptop will need to be taken apart for further examination.

the most likly suspect is the socket in the laptop, after some time they get warn and the connections on the motherboard come loose if you take it to a pc repair centrue for a fee they can disassemble the laptop and re solder the socket to the board.

Please remove battery and connect charger and turn on computer. If on adapter working fine, now connect battery without removing charger , and check charging.

Hi, I have a Samsung R519. One day i tried to turn it on after our power was out and didn't want to switch on. I formatted the laptop and it went on. But after I restarted it, it just show my back screen and don't load windows. I thought it could just be a setting in bios. But sometimes when I go into the bios it freezes. I removed the Ram and Hard Drive just to try a reset on it, what can I do???

As lond as the battery is still accepting charge from the charger and will run ok on a battery, I wouldn't worry. Pulling the AC power cord isn't a good idea when the laptop is running anyway.

However, what you describe sounds like a dead battery that will no longer accept a charge. Even a battery showing 100% charged can still fail, as it drains in seconds if dead. What kills most batteries is leaving them in the laptop afetr they have charged and running on ac power.

This is exactly the same as my problem, mine still works fine but checking the battery itself to see how much life is left is a bit of a pain, have you found a solution yet? Ive tried reseting, taking it apart and nothing has budged
