I hope you have wireless adapter on your computer. I also need to know if you've set up the router or not. To set up a wireless Lan connection, you need a router or an access point.
After you set up the router and the wireless adapter on your computer, you can only search the wireless printer from your computer as follows;
Start > Control Panel > Printers & Faxes or (Hardware and sound > Printer) > Add A printer (this should be on the toolbar in windows vista and 7 and in windows xp on the left pane) > Select Add a network/wireless/bluetooth printer > Next, then your computer will automatically search for the wireless printer. Make sure the printer is power On.
If you haven't set up your router, you'll not be able to do this. At least one Router is required and the computer must have a wireless adapter installed.
If you have problem, let me know.
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
You have to make sure the following are used on your wireless
settings on your router - Wireless Network Security SSID (32 chr), WEP 64/128bit, WPA-PSK
(TKIP/AES), WPA2-PSK (AES) This means your SSID is less than 32 chars and your running
either WEP, WPA. Or WPA2 Then on your printer make sure you have the wireless enabled and Just a good rule of thumb - When putting in a wireless printer
just fudge with the wirless/TCP/IP settings on the printer until you can ping
the printer from the PC. Do NOT bother running the software installs until you
know you have a good ping from the printer as it will just bomb out.
do rate the solution plz
