1. Remove the air intake filters on your DLP projector. As explained by InFocus, a manufacturer of LCD and DLP projectors, each DLP model will house the air filters in a different location. However, for most DLP projector products, the filters are accessible by unclipping a simple plastic latch.

2. Wipe the air filters with a small cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol.

3. Blow compressed air into the unit's vents. This will force some internal dust out of the DLP projector, but you may still need to open up the unit for additional dust removal.

4. Unsnap the main cover from your DLP projector. Because DLP projectors need periodic lamp replacement, the main cover is rarely secured with screws or bolts. However, if the DLP projector's cover does not snap off, then you'll want to inspect the unit for possible screws or an alternate release latch.

5. Reach in and remove visible dust globs with a paper towel. Be careful to avoid touching the lens, as fingerprint smudges can diminish DLP projector image quality. If you accidentally smudge the lens while picking out dust blobs, wipe the lens with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth.

6. Spray compressed air into your DLP projector to remove any lingering dust particles.

7. Close up the projector and reattach the filters.

Samsung hlr5078wx DLP tv. rumbling noise and shaky picture

This is a color wheel problem.
I would recommend to use professional help because you can make more damage to the optical engine. Not to mention index delay have to be re-adjusted in special service menu after repair is complete.
Regards.
Russ.

Tv making noise sounds like projector motor.

Your cooling fan may be collecting lint. If it cannot run freely, you will lose a projection lamp. Just like a clothes dryer, you must have a good clean exhaust exit to assure proper performance!

Why do i hear a fan noise when i turn on my samsung dlp4663wx/xaa?

Hi, there are fans inside your set to cool the lamp and the dmd section of the light engine, if they are objectionally loud then the "loud" one needs to be replaced, if you are just hearing a fan sound standing next to your set or just after you turn set off, that is normal and nothing to be concerned about, video-tek

The 3 times LED code points to no fan rotation. There are 2 fans. Check the larger fan first, p/n = FBL12G12LS, located near the lamp. Even though that fan may be rotating, it may be slow.

The color wheel is the most common problem when it comes to noise from DLP's. To determine if it is a color wheel or fan: Turn on the set. When the noise starts, turn off the set. If the noise goes away within 5 seconds, then the color wheel is bad. If the noise goes away after one to one and a half minutes after the set was shut off, then one of the fans are making the noise.
