When I try to delete Firefox all is well until a pop up says /FireFox is running in the background, I must turn it off, But I can't turn it off. Can you help?

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the Task Manager. Open the Applications Tab and select Firefox and End Task. Open the Processes Tab, click on Image Name to get them sorted in order. For every instance of Firefox, select it and hit End Process. Do this until all instances of Firefox are gone.

You can now close the task manager and continue to delete Firefox.

I cant open yahoo messenger..so i uninstall it and then tried to download it again, but why i cant still open it..there is a error message....its says "Windows cannot access the specified device,path,...

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. This will bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button and then click the "Task Manager" tab.
3. You will see a list of files/applications. These are the applications running in the background on your system, whether they show on your taskbar or not. Any one of these applications could be causing a conflict with the Yahoo! Messenger installation.
4. Click the top item on the list to highlight it. Then hold the "Shift" key down and click the last item on the list. This should highlight the whole list.
5. Click the "End Task" button. This will temporarily close all background applications on your system.
6. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the Task Manager window.
7. Install Yahoo! Messenger. You should not experience the same issue that you had before.
8. After Yahoo! Messenger is installed, run registry cleaner reginout also reboot your system. All other background applications will return to their original configurations.

An apparently bogus virus protection software company has taken over my computer. I cannot access Task manager and reboots do not help. I even gave them a credit card assuming I could cancel later but...

hello. Immediately telephone your credit card company and report what is happening and cancel that card. Regarding your computer, turn it off and take it to your local staples or other computer store and have them repair it for you. Everytime you have it on until it is devirused, you risk having that bogus company doing you more damage. J.

I want to recall a message after it is sent in MS Outlook 2007

Hi,
Please find your answer below:
If you have Microsoft Exchange account as you said, you can manage to do that. Because, this feature requires you to use a Microsoft Exchange Server 2000, Exchange Server 2003, or Exchange Server 2007 account.

The recipient of the e-mail message that you want to recall must also be using an Exchange account. You can’t recall a message sent, for example, to someone's personal Internet service provider (ISP)
(ISP: A business that provides access to the Internet for such things as electronic mail, chat rooms, or use of the World Wide Web. Some ISPs are multinational, offering access in many locations, while others are limited to a specific region.) POP3 (POP3: A common protocol that is used to retrieve e-mail messages from an Internet e-mail server.) e-mail account.

For all recipients who haven't opened the message yet, you can perform an e-mail sleight of hand and replace the original message with another one that contains the attachment.

To Recall a message Do the following: If you want to recall the message but not replace the message :
  1. In Mail, in the Navigation Pane (Navigation Pane: The column on the left side of the Outlook window that includes panes such as Shortcuts or Mail and the shortcuts or folders within each pane. Click a folder to show the items in the folder.), click Sent Items.
  2. Open the message that you want to recall.
  3. On the Message tab, in the Actions group, click Other Actions, and then click Recall This Message.

4. Click Delete unread copies of this message.
NOTE: If you are sending the message to a large number of people, you may want to clear the Tell me if recall succeeds or fails for each recipient check box.

2044659.jpg
1. Select whether you want to only delete the message or delete and replace the message.
2. Select the check box to receive a confirmation that the recall was successful.

NOTE: Yo can also recall and replace the message.

I hope it helps.

All the best.

I keep receiving the error message that Adobe Updater is running and should be closed. I ran a search and I can't find Adobe Updater on my PC.

Hi. Just press Ctrl-Alt-Del, select Task Manager Button to open the Windows Task Manager. Go to the Processes tab, look for these image names and terminate (end process) them:
adobeupdater.exe or Adobe_Updater.exe
Close the Windows Task Manager and you're done.
Hope this helps.

My cat walked on my keyboard and now I can't stop the voice. Everything I type gets spoken out loud

Hi,
Looks like your cat has activated the windows narrator feature on your PC.

To turn it off, click on Start, then click on all programs, then click Accessories, then open Accessiblity, then open Narrator. It will be shown as running, click on stop and close the window.

Also, you can turn it off from the Task Manager. To open task manager, right -click on the taskbar, select Task Manager, under Processes Tab you will find utilman.exe. Right-click on utilman.exe, then select End Process, select Yes from the next announcement window, then close the Task Manager.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks.

Uninstall Button manager, if you get a message telling you that it is in use, go to task manager, processes tab, click on btnman.exe then end task.

Re-install the application.

Task manager disabled by the administrator

Hi,

To regain access to your Task Manager and Folder Options, the quickest remedy for the moment would be to download and run RRT.exe. It is "Remove Restriction Tool" and available here.

For Anti-Virus, you can try AntiVir by Avira available here. Additionally, you may want to download and install Lavasoft's Ad-Aware here. Upon download, install and update. Thereafter run a full scan. Pls follow on screen instructions.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Task manager

Hi,

If you are certain that you are logged on as administrator or has administrator privileges, then a virus is preventing your opening of the Task Manager. Additionally, the same virus is likewise preventing access to the Folder Option and the MSCONFIG function.

Of course the correct solution would be to run a full deep virus scan and delete detected ones. You can also try running RRT.exe to force access to the above functions.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
