Any bicycle shop should have chains and be able to assist with other issues.

Pedal stripped

You will need to have that crank arm replaced. They do make repair threads, but the price to install is just as much as replacing the crank arm. Your local bike shop can provide the correct parts.

Hello, I have a very old schwinn bike and I need to replace the pedal arms. How do I get them off?

To remove 3 piece crank arms you will need a special tool called (fittingly) a crank puller. It threads into the arm and a center "bolt" torques into the spindle and pulls the arm off.

The crank arm is stripped on the left side of the bike

Yes, the crank-arm could be replaced.
1.You would need to remove the flat nut holding the crank to the frame. And then take out the bearing.
2. A special open-ended wrench is required to remove this nut. Please visit your local bicycle shop for a new crank-arm, and the required tools, also.
3. Put in new crank-arm and its bearing.
4. Grease the bearing.
5. Tighten nut.
6. Give it a test ride.
