Question about Car Speakers & Subwoofers

1 Answer

Need operating instructions for Insignia NS-C3112. My son purchased the above car radio for me for Christmas; I just had someone install it for me and I did not have an operating manual, so I don't know how to operate my radio, nor set the time. I don't think I should have to pay to receive instructions that should have been included. Providing the information requested would be good customer service and make me a repeat shopper.

I recommend you purchase a wiring harness specific to your vehicle. This will take the wiring guesswork out of it. You can purchase one at www.crutchfield.com you can also get install instructions there.

It just froze and it stop working i reset it but it is frozen (bv7300 car dvd stereo)

Ok, a little more description is needed to help. When you say "froze", do you mean a dvd image froze on the screen or do you mean that all functions have ceased to operate. If you reset didn't work, you will need to old school it. Remove the radio from power completely for about 15 minutes and then reinstall. See if that helps. The other variables are how long you had the equipment, did you purchase new, did you buy from someone else, did you install or have it professionally installed. These are things that can help with warranty issues too. Good luck.

I have a pioneer car sterio that I need to remove how do i get it out of my dash? do i need a special tool

If it's an aftermarket stereo, it can be removed without taking the dash apart. It depends on how it was installed. Remove the thin plastic collar from around the radio, it may be easier to remove it with the faceplate detached. Look on the sides for thin metal tabs you can press then in and slide the radio out carefully with a flat screw driver.

Some installers will screw the radio into a dash assembly and the radio will not come out until you remove the dash. Usually cars that have a black plastic pocket either directly above or below the radio are screwed in and don't come out as easy.

If you remove the faceplate and collar, and see a thin metal cage around the radio it should slide out nice and easy with a flat screw driver or the "keys" that come with the radio when purchased new. These "keys" are just long skinny flat pieces of metal and are real cheap.

I have installed an overhead DVD player Insignia NS-D9500. It only works when the door is opened. It turns off when the car door is closed. Did I wire wrong somewhere?

you have wired your power into the door switch circuit, you need to find switched power from the ignition such as the radio feed to splice for power to your unit.

I have an Insignia NS-C3112A car deck that I purchased in February. The display has gone out. Can you tell me what to do to correct this issue. Thank you so much.

Well the first thing that I discover is that it has a 1 year warranty thats good. I also notice according to the manual that the faceplate is detachable try cleaaning the contacts on the headunit and or faceplace also if the faceplate was dropped the backlight may have gone out. If none of those are the case sorry to hear about problems so early in your ownership of the unit. However doing a more expansive search of Insignia as a whole they are a bargain line and unfortunately sometimes quality control is sacrificed. If cleaning the contacts doesn't fix it try the RMA route evidenty it is a brand specifically manufactured for Best Buy the website is www.insignia-products.com and the customer support phone# is 877-467-4289
