Okay, that would be a UK model.

Your absolute humidity sensor has failed, or the temperature sensor, whichever it is equipped with.

I would visit http://www.sharp.co.uk/pcat/support if you want to find a servicer or spare parts distributor.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Error code s5

see this step and fix it. God bless you
SE or 5E codes are usually sensor problems. it is also a catch-all for a keypad shorting issue. if it's either issue then it will need professional service. to test the sensors:

SENSOR TEST (QUICK TEST)

1. With 2 fingers touch and hold the following pads at the same time :

pause and cancel

2. Observe diagnostic number in display (Numbers approximate)

ex) 33 (Vs) 39 (Vout)

? Vout Vaule : 10~150 (Normal-verify with "detection test" )

? Over 150 or Less than 10 (Sensor failed. Check connection of Sensor.)

Open oven temperature sensor (circuit) (over 2700 ohms) or, shorted oven temperature sensor. Could be a result of:
· contamination on terminals
· pinched wire in oven temperature sensor circuit
· cold solder joint on control. · Disconnect power to range and remove oven temperature sensor connector from control.
· Measure oven temperature sensor resistance at oven temperature sensor connector (take care not to damage terminals in block) - Should read 1100 ohms at room temperature (approx 72 degrees F).
· Measure each oven temperature sensor lead from connector block to ground. If shorted, look for pinched or cut wire in oven temperature sensor circuit.
· Check connector terminals - Look for deformed or corrosion on terminals. Repair or replace.
If all above is ok replace control.

Microwave Ultrawave with Hood fan

You are right. f4 means shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD). Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
