Pioneer AVH P6500DVD Tuner Failed

I have a AVH P6500DVD that has been installed and worked from new with little or no problems, however the tuner seems to have failed. It appears to scan but will not find any stations, everything else on the system works (DVD/cd/Ipod/TV tuner and Freeview) any ideas?

the green wire is the e brake cable if you ground this wire you can bypass the need for the e brake keep in mind that because of the type of deck you have you will need to install a switch and you will have to switch ths on and off everytime you turn into or awayfrom acc

Problem wirings for Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD Car DVD Player

very easy fix. you can pay thirty bucks on ebay and buy the bypass kit or make it yourself. but the light green wire on the harness has to be hooked up to ground. just hook the light green wire to the chassie of the car and you will be able to see dvds all the time. If you want to buy the kit its not really needed I have a toggle switch on mine just for turning it on and off when I am driving. simple as putting a wire from your chassie of the car(Ground) and then the other from the unit(light green wire) to a switch. hooking it up from Supply to Acc on the switch.

Installation

are you experienced in installing car stereos at all? these decks are not the easiest to install. Best bet would be to try to find an installation manual....there would be way too much instruction to put on here.
