Open Question

Will not go up inclines

The mover does not go up inclines. It will eventaully stop and it seems to chatter out of the right rear. I have replaced the drive belt already still no change. It will work for the first couple times and then as it warms up it slows down and will not pull its own weight up an incline. Do I need a new rear differential. Are there internal parts avaialble if it need to be rebuilt? Please help. The mover has 200 hours on it.

SOURCE: Drive belt?? is slipping and not pulling mower up

This is a good time to check your belts tensioner for free movement and good spring tension. If the tensioner is good replace the belt.

Think i need to bleed abs system on ford expoler.

Sounds like the abs master cylinder area is in need of replacement if the abs fuse is removed and stops better.

Chattering can occur in an abs system when the system senses wheel lockup on that wheel and attempts to anti lock that wheel.

Could also be a wheel speed sensor not working, properly.

Hope this helps.

Feels like chatter in rear end when accelerating 2004 f150 4x4

Check the "U-Joints" on the drive shaft and or rear wheel/axle bearings.
You MAY need a little help as the wheel(s) needs to be of the ground to check axle bearing. Grasp top and bottom of the tire and wobble it in and out.

2004 Ford F-150, my rear differential seems to be chattering when I turn left or right from a stop. Do I need to replace clutch packs or just change differential fluid and add modifier?

start with a fluid change.its the cheapest. chk the fluid as it comes out for metal flakes. you may have sticky parts. drain , fill with diesel and turn tires by hand, let sit for half hour and turn the tires again.do this three or four times then drain and replace fluid and modifier.

My 1998 Cherokee SE with 185,000 miles seeme to shudder or slip as you accelerate from a stop. It seems to come from the rear end. What do you think

What seems to be coming from the rear is more likley coming from the transmission. The main pump within the tranny wheres down after high milage. When the pump weakens it is unable to pressurize the drums within the tranny and the clutches slip causing a chattering feeling throughout the vehicle. Time, most likley, for a rebuild. Thank you, Dana
