You're going to have to disassemble the lens and reseat the ring. This is never easy, since there is a precise way all the lenses and focusing mechanisms have to be reseated exactly right, and there is the issue of dirt or dust getting into the lens when you attempt to disassemble it and try to fix it. I wouldn't think the average person could successfully repair this lens, but a skillful technician of sorts may be able to. It's going to be hard to find a technical procedure for this, since only repair facilities usually do this. My suggestion would be to take it in to a reputable repair shop and see what they think. Often the cost of labor to repair a simple thing like this can exceed replacement cost, so make sure you get an estimate before considering having it fixed. If the repair shop wants too much, you might opt to try it yourself. Just make sure you have a set of jeweler's screwdrivers, and make a diagram of each screw and location, as you go, and use extreme care not to touch the lens surfaces any more than you have to. You might get lucky and get it working. Good luck, and hope this helps.

After dropping my nikon d5000 camera the lense doesn't seem to fit

If you drop one, the main components that can get damaged are the lens elements, the focusing ring, the aperture ring, the lens mount and the filter mount. Some of these components are much easier to fix than others.

SEL16F28 has dust inside the lens

Almost all lenses get dust inside them. It's rarely bad enough to affect image quality in the slightest so is usually ignored.

The only fix is to pay to have a Sony service centre strip down the lens, clean it, and reassemble it, but it would be far cheaper to sell yours and buy a new example. Either way, unless you never take the lens out of the packaging it will soon get dust inside it again.

My 400mm lens is so hard to slide out when I go to zoom what do I do

turn the 'lock/friction ring' (metal band just below the black rubber focusing ring) counter clockwise whilst holding the focusing 'ring' still. The friction/lock ring is used to prevent 'lens creep' when carrying the camera with lens pointing down, or using the lens when it is pointing down. Juust turn it until it applies the level of friction you prefer for operating the lens. If you have already tried this and it won't budge it may be the bearings are shot and you will need to contact a canon service centre for repair.

It dropped, we got all the pieces but the lens has two lose springs and the lens protectors won't close or open any more

The lens mountings have come out and hence the shutters have moved out of mechanism and alignment. It will be necessary to open the camera and start to refix them. If it had fallen on the lens then there is a possibility of the the hood mounting been damaged. If so you will need to fix this out but if any plastics are broken then the alignment may not set well . The best is to approach a camera repair centre preferably Canon , and try to piece it , this will be much better than to assume the fittings. Hope you try this out. Good day

Miele w865 - door won't open after completed wash cycle

the solenoid sounds like it is defective on the door lock or the plug has fallen out of the door lock. if you remove the sealing ring clip which holds the door seal in place and pull back the seal you can reach inside the unit and make sure the plug is in place. check also there is power to the plug

hope this helps. if all else fails call the Miele service centre in your area and they will be able to help

Dropped the lens, nothing broke but focus ring came undone

This will need technical service eventually. Try temporary solution with Sellotape or similar

Loose Focus ring assembly

IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AROUND THE FRONT OF YOUR CAMERA THERE ARE SEVERAL SCREWS, ABOUT 4 I THINK,
1) 1 ON BASE
2) 1 ON THE LEFT LOOKING AT FROM THE FRONT
3) AND 2 INSIDE THE FLASH CASE
REMOVE THESE SCREWS AND THEN YOUR FOCUS RING AND SOME OF THE CASE SHOULD COME OFF
INSIDE THE FOCUS RING YOU SHOULD SEE 3 SREWS IF NOT CHECK THE CAMERA TO SEE IF THEY HAVE FALLEN INSIDE,
IF NO JOY YOU CAN REPLACE THE 3 MISSING SCREWS AND PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER

I used Super Glue and my camer ia stil working.  However you need to be very careful taht no glue gets onto the lens itself as it cannot come off and will give your pictures a blurred effect
