I have a cyberhome portable DVD player and I would like to know if I can charge the battery through the DVD player. I had a seperate charger but it is not working. The model no is Ch-LDV 700B

If it has been sitting in a cupboard not used for that long there is a very good chance the batteries are no good. Try putting it on charge for a few hours but if it still doesn't work then it will probibly need new batteries. Is it the correct charger for the unit as the voltage may be incorrect also if it is then that will also be a problem.
If you put the battery in the player and then plug in the player it should charge the battery. Be sure to leave it until the light in the front of the player shows green.
