Today, my laptop suddenly shut down on me, and has not gotten started since. Similar to previous problems listed, I am not able to have a continuous power flow to my laptop. I have tried two power adapters, one fails to get the green lights on at all, while there is momentary flickering with the second power adapter. If somebody could suggest a step by step solution, I would be greatly indebted.
I have a similar problem for the Toshiba A105 series. I also have been through one adapter and am on my second for this laptop which is fourteen months old. About fifteen minutes ago it was working fine from this wall socket, and as of ten minutes ago the power has started flickering on and off about three times every two seconds - irregularly. One problem, I believe is that Toshiba simply doesn't manufacture factory adapters for this laptop any more. I bought what I thought was the original one on ebay, and was sadly disappointed when I got it - it's not oem.
The problem may be with the receptical where your plug the ac adapter into. This is a common problem for many. Our company can repair this problem. For a quote just google "Laptop Guy" and you will see our company listed there. Mention Fixya and you can save $25 off the repair

Get sure the memories are good. then try reseting the BIOS by removing the BIOS batery, let it out for 5 minutes and place it again. Though you have to disassembly almost the whole laptop. If dont, chek the other "pheripheral" devices, HDD, DVD, and another (If)
Sounds like a program is not loading properly. You should try to load in Safe Mode, And see if it starts properly. If it does you then can do the diagnostics to find which program is trying to load and shuts machine down. You may also try starting in step by step and catch it right away. Depending on your version of Windows you are running you may be able to restore to a previous time when your machine worked right. Good Luck and have a good day.
I think your fan might be broken....if the fan doesn't cool the pc,the processor or the chipset will automatically shut down the pc to prevent burning hardware.Or your hard drive might keep crashing.Oh yeah and abstract from this i don't recommend ever using mcaffe
Sound you got a virus that corrupted a certain file in your Windows operating system. Try googling with a descriptive computer keep rebooting or something similar. Basically you need to replace that corrupted file and there are hints in the Internet on how to do this.
The battery needs to be taken out once in a while. It is possible to use the ac adapter and power cord without the battery to power your laptop. Please press on the power button for 10 seconds for your computer to turn on. Check if you can see any message on the screen.
My Toshiba Satellite does a similar thing, It goes gray while I am working on it. The only way to continue to work on it is to complete shut it down manually and reboot. I took it to Toshiba they said nothing was wrong.
Can you just clarify how much you are certain the adapter is OK......did you you for argument sake try another adapter. The battery might be poked or that adapter not going. I know laptops may get sentimental (so to speak)but they dont just shut down for no reasons technically unless the battery is stuffed or there is NO power to the unit. Thats why the LEDS are not lighting up?
