Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
All along sound was there,it just went off some day.since then i have been using a pc without sound(6 months now0.
Drivers for the on-board sound are probably corrupted Go to Dell's web site, type in model number and look for sound card drivers for it. Download and install them and you should be okay. If this doesn't work, check your BIOS to see that the internal sound card hasn't been disabled. One other thing to check is that the sound card hasn't been muted in your sound card settings. You can check this by double-clicking the sound card icon in your system try at the bottom right of your desktop page.
