Hi there! Printer: HP Laserjet 4100 Problem: does not want to make both side printing. Used settings: Printer Properties->Finishing->Print on Both Sides (click) Thanks for your...

To automatically duplex, you need the optional duplexing mechanism.
If you don't have this, your only option is to print the odd pages first, put the papers back in the tray, then print the even pages.
When you put the pages back into the paper tray, make sure they are print side up.
Try with a 5 or 6 page document first to be sure you get the orientation right.

If you HAVE the optional duplexing unit (which sticks out the front just above the main paper tray) then post a reply here and I'll try to help you further.
99% of the people that own this unit do NOT have the optional duplexer!

HP LaserJet LJ 4350 locks up when duplexing

Symptom: Your LaserJet 4350 prints just fine until you try to print a double-sided page. Then you see the page start to exit, pull back in, then stop. The Data light continues flashing green, and the display reads, "Processing..." There is no error indication, but the machine won't print the second side and continues to hold the half-printed paper in the duplexer. If you open the top cover and close it again, the printer will eject the page, then try to print the whole thing again, unless you're quick enough to cancel the job first.

Cause: The printer is expecting a different sized paper than what it's running. Often it's not the menu settings, but a little lever in the paper tray itself. Pull out the paper tray you're trying to print from and look for a little blue lever on top of its right-hand side. The lever is labeled "Standard/Custom." Flip it to Standard (parallel to the tray side) and your problem should go away.

HP LaserJet 1320 folds over top left corner of every page printed

I see this problem alot after a paper jam occurs and someone has pulled the stuck paper out. There is probably a piece of paper stuck in the printer somwhere. If you open the front toner door and take the cartridge out, you will see a roller at the bottom front. DON"T touch the roller but take it out. You may find the paper there!

Duplex printing problem HP 1320 TN

We have tried changing all the possible drives,
Did you mean drive rollers or drivers?
Since you are seeing the problem with multiple printers, I don't think the printers are at fault but rather the Windows driver for them - have you tried deleting that printer from the system and letting Windows 'find' it again?  If not, go to the printers and faxes folder of the control panel, delete any listing of this printer model, make sure the printer is on and connected, then reboot the system. This should force Win to reinstall the driver for this unit.
If that didn't help, cruise the HP website and look for discussions or tech notes regarding this printer. I'm fairly sure you aren't the only victims.

HP 1320 duplex printing paper jam

Managed to solve this myself: I disassembled the printer and noticed there was a paper jammed in the duplex tray. Rolls were all ok, but the paper blocked the use of the duplex pathway. For disassembly help check the HP 1320 service manual, which you can find on the net as a PDF.
