These do fail. The easiest thing to check is to stick it into a differant usb port or even a usb on a differant computer. That way you will know if it is the stick or the usb port that is the problem.

Unfortunetly there is nothing that is repairable on the drive so if it has failed you are out of luck.

NO...
Flash drives are just like any drive....nothing specific....you cant del system files...even if you format the pen drive the system files are there....

you pc is behaving funny as the USB port is having trouble / pen drive is not connected properly....as no specific drivers are installed fore the USB ports...it's all Windows drivers that sue the USB ports....

Sol
1 remove the pen drive
2 switch off and switch on the PC
3 reconnect the pen drive

it should work now...

Kingston DataTraveler 64GB USB is not recognized by pc or laptop

Hey hi dude. As far as i heard, 64 gb drives are error prone to a greater extent. In some cases it is just showing 32 gb of storage space for the user. So better go to a nearby Kingston Service center and claim for a New replacement for your Pen drive. Am really sorry to say this. But there is no other go. Kingston provides you a nice customer service. Within one week, you will get a brand new drive as a replacement for your drive. Believe me!!!

My flash disk2.0 does no work.

try the device in another pc. if it works, then try it back in the pc with the issue. windows normally recognizes usb's if you cant get it to work, try it in a second slot on your pc. if it still doesnt work, your pc usb slot probably does not work

Undetected usb drive

Pocket Fuzzies?
Get a bright light and look into the USB connector of the USB Drive. It is possible that there is lint, paper bits, cookei crumbs, etc in there and that is your problem. The outer 2 connections of the USB is DATA and the inner two Power. B/C it is able to flash, you are getting power... but the data lines may be dirty, covered, bent, etc.

Clean it up and try again. Flat toothpick, small ty-wrap or Proxident (dental/braces) brushes work well for this - DO NOT use anything Metal!! It will scratch the connectors and vastly shorten their life (they are GOLD plated)

Short of that, goto HP site and get their USB format tool (get it here: http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197 ) and try reformatting... if that doesn't work, it is hosed and only I can fix it so let me know ;-)

Imation Swivel Flash Drive Cant detect

is it several times that youve used your flash driver at your office? and which side of the usb port did you plug it? coz when it is your first time to use your flash drive at your office and your plugging it at the front side of the PC. well there might be something wrong with connection and may cause damage to the board of the flash drive. if it your using it several times, well try to check at your PC, then do the following specs:

my computer (right click and select manage)
and under manage window ( select disk management )
try to see if your flash drive registered (you can see the drives of your PC) and see if theres a volume (either raw/ or theres a partition on it).

if not, well the board of your flash drive might be damaged, mostly these were caused by the power of the system, fluctuation is one of them, then improper plugging of the flashdrive.
