I had the exact same problem and called 1300brivis. They told me that the error means the thermister needs to be replaced. My unit is also out of warranty but they are still going to come out and fix it.

Error 62 is related to hot surface ignitor (HSI)or/nglo module
you can check the resistance of the ignitor should be less than 10 oms @ 20 degrees
failing that, if you incomming suppy exceeds 270 volt will also result in error 62

Error Code 71 is caused by either of the following: 1. A very low setting on the controller less than 16 degs. 2. Or a higher than 25 degs. setting causing overheating when the damper outlets are mostly closed.
The power supply needs to be reset due to the fault being detected.

my power went out last night and today the heat was not working just the cooler , l turned off the main to the heater and the main power and reset the unit but is still the same
