I am missing the hexagonal key for the D150 Nespresso machine necessary to remove cage, where can I find one

Sept 2012--

I had the same problem. I purchased a used D150 and wanted to make sure it was clean before using it but it was missing the special hex key to take off the nozzle part. Here is my fix-

-Remove the water tank

-Turn the whole machine upside down. You want to remove the stainless steel square plate that holds the nozzle assembly in place. It is held there with 4 security screws. If you don't have a special security screwdriver go ask for one at your local hardware store. Get one with multiple tips as there are a few different ones. Don't try to use a regular screwdriver.

-With your new security screwdriver remove the stainless plate. Under each security head screw should be a lock washer- don't lose them.

-Under the plate should be 4 flat washers- don't lose then.

-With the plate removed you can now use an adjustable wrench to remove the hex washer which holds the nozzle assembly in place.

-Once removed the nozzle assembly will have a small rubber washer/gasket in the center- do not lose this!

-Clean all your parts---I just cleaned the rubber gasket with a cloth with water and put the whole nozzle in boiling water then cleaned it up a bit.
-Put everything back like it was and tighten well.

My used D150 works great and makes an awesome espresso!

Washer is leaking from door, the other day the rubber gasket between door and tub came off during use..we put it back on, but it still leaks

It sounds like you have a hose leaking. You can check the hose leaking by opening the washer door & inspecting the rubber boot that goes around the perimeter of the tubs. It is secured in place by two clamps. In order to check if the leak is underneath the washer tub you will first need to disconnect electrical power to the washer.Remove the three screws securing the toe panel to the front of the washer and remove the toe panel by lifting slightly and pulling forward.
Hope this helps.

Fills with water then does nothing. won't agitate or spin. I checked coupler and it is fine.

The problem is with the lid switch. Disconnect both hot and cold water line from the water inlet valve. Mark the hot and cold so you don't get them mixed up. There are 2 philips head screws at the back of the machine, holding down the console to the cabinet. One in each rear corner. Slide the console forward slightly and tilt back. There are 2 metal clips that hold the cabinet and top to the back panel. Use a screwdriver and pry both clips up. ( pay attention on how to put the clips back). Disconnect the harness to the lid switch. Now stand in front of the cabinet and tilt forward towards you while pulling forward. Cabinet should slide forward. Once the cabinet has been separated fro the back panel, lift the lid up. On the right side of the lid you will see 2 screws. remove screws. (theses are the screws that secure the lid switch to the top). Now go to the back of the cabinet at the opening and look in the corner where you just removed the 2 screws, You will see a green ground wire screwed to the cabinet. Should be a 5/16 screw. (not 100% sure). Remove screw. there are 2 small clips holding the tubing for the wire harness in place. Popping both clips out should release the lid switch. Now disconnect harness holder from the top of the cabinet by pressing in the plastic clips at the side. Pay attention to the direction of the plug. Put the new plug in the same direction as the one you removed. Once you have inserted the plug and it snaps back into place, thread the tubing back behind both metal clips and clip those back in place. Secure the ground wire back to the cabinet. Now mount the lid switch back to the cabinet. You can do this with the lid up. Secure both screws into the lid switch. Close and open the lid to test the lid switch. You should hear a clicking sound. Now its time to put the cabinet back on.
Standing in front of the cabinet, tilt it forward towards you and line it up with the base frame. Tuck the front bottom lip on the cabinet under the lip of the base. Make sure that the tabs sticking up from the base lines up with the bottom of the cabinet. Be patient, may take you awhile to get the cabinet back in position.
Slide the back panel forward back in place. make sure it tucks into the back of the cabinet. Once its in place, now you can reinstall the two metal clips that secure the back panel to the cabinet. reconnect the harness to the lid switch. Tilt the console back down into place inserting the tabs on the side into place on the cabinet. Once in place slide the console backwards into place. You can now put the 2 screws back that hold the console to the cabinet.
That should do it. Plug the washer back in and start using.

I have a Affinity frigidaire front load washer and need to replace part number 131763202. The model number of the washer is ATF6000FS1 Thank you in advance

Disconnect power then open the door and remove the spring-hoop assembly that secures the door gasket. Peel off the part of the door gasket near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel then pull the door lock and switch assembly out. Transfer the wires to the new door lock and switch assembly then install into place. Put the door gasket back and secure it with the spring-hoop assembly. How do I put the top cover of the washer back? I had the dryer put on top of the washer when it was first installed and took the washer cover off so the dryer can be bolted and sit on top of the washer...

Lay the panel on top of the washer with the screw holes pointed towards the back. Slide the panel forward until it is flush with the control panel. Reinsert the screws in the rear to secure.

NOTE: There should be a couple of tabs near the control panel on most of these washers that the top panel slides into to lock in place.

If you have questions, please post back with your MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this help you.

I have a Kenmore top loading washer. While moving it into the house, it made a loud sound and a small copper pin fell out of the bottom. Does anyone know how to put this back in place?

That pin is a pin used to move the washer (secure the drum) and is not used when in normal operation. There are 4 total that should be removed. They are stored in little cups on the legs, and likely fell out of the cup.

How do the clips go back in the back of the washing machine model

If you are referring to the brass colored clips, follow these steps:

1. With the lid of the washer casing open, grasp the case under front rim and place it on the washer frame. While looking down through the washer lid opening, make sure the front lip of the case is placed UNDER the washer frame base in the front.

2. Lower the washer casing back onto the side frames. Make sure the small cleats on the side frames fit into the slotted grooves on the washer case base. If you do not get the case seated correctly it will rattle and vibrate while the washer is in operation.

3. Make sure the back of the washer fits into the washer casing on each side by leaning over the front of the washer and grasping the back panel and pull towards you to seat it.

4. Reinsert the brass clips. Place the 90 degree bend of the clip into the slot on the back of the washer first, and then forcefully push the J-hook end of the clip down into the opening on top of the washer. NOTE: Once the clips are snapped back into place, the washer case should fit tight and not move on the frame.

5. REINSTALL LID SWITCH CONNECTOR. It is easy to forget. If you do not reconnect it, the washer will not work correctly.

6. Reinstall console.

I mention all these steps to ensure you have the washer case back on the frame correctly, and the back panel is seated as well. If not, the clips will not insert properly and the washer will rattle during the spin cycle. Step 4 refers to how to correctly install the brass clips. Remember to insert the 90 degree end of the clip into the BACK panel slot first. Then, push the J-hook end of the clip down in the opening on the top of the washer. You may have to use a little force. Once it snaps back into place the washer case should fit snug. If you still have questions, please let me know. I hop this helps you.

Door boot seal on a front load washer how to change

front gasket/door boot.... replacement isn't easy but do-able. first remove three screws that hold front lower panel on and remove panel (where lint filter is). then remove 3 screws that hold on top panel (screws located at rear of top of washer), next remove 3 screws on top front of washer, then remove 4 screws that secure the contol panel. you must remove the washer door at this point, just a few screws and pin hold the door on. now, remove control panel by gently pulling the top away from the washer, it's held by a few plastic snaps. then, remove three screws that secure front panel of washer. now you're ready to remove the old boot/gasket. first look toward lower right side of gasket and pull the spring and remove wire that secures front of gasket. next... at about 3 o'clock on the gasket you'll find a longer screw (about 3 inches) that secures the rear of the gasket. loosen this screw until you can remove the gasket. remove the water inlet and hose from the boot/gasket.... now remove gasket from washer. you're ready to install new boot/gasket. find the small triangle on the new gasket and line this up w/the triangel at the top of wash tub. begin working the gasket onto the lip of tub, make sure to align the triangle and water outlets of the gasket w/the triangle and outlets of the washer tub. once back of gasket is on install the rear wire holder and tighten screw to former tightness. now work front of gasket onto the lip of washer, install spring wire to secure the front. place water inlet and hose into respective holes on the gasket. put front panel back on, put door on, put control panel on, put top on... and wash. like i said, not easy but do-able... i completed it in 1.5 hrs w/no instruction.
