If you run winxp then follow these steps 1)Insert the bootable windows xp setup dvd/cd in the drive 2)The system will boot the dvd by asking you (PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT THE CD...)press enter 3)Then the setup files starts to load on the screen , a blue screen appears , it may take sometime for setup loading process. wait till it gets over 4)after the files get loaded ,it will give you three options press enter there 5)then press f8.then press esc on the next screen if it shows the previous version of windows 6)then you will be able to see your drive there ,the drive which you want to format just press d on the particular drive and it becomes unpartioned space, again press c on the unpartioned space and create the drive again , 7)do this for every drive 8)and for installing the fresh copy of windows choose a particular drive and press enter and then choose the format using ntfs NOT QUICK the third option remember tats it for xp
If it is for vista or 7 insert the dvd of the particular os and then install which doesnt have some complicated things like xp

Hi sir how are you? sir when i on notebook toshiba satellite pro p300-19q model-009005en it come up with password screen enter HDD PASSWORD sir please help me so nice of you ibmlaptop111@gmail.com

The only way to remove the password is to format and erase the hard drive. All data will be lost in the process.

Use this software to format and erase all data on the hard drive and remove the password.

The software (Darik's Boot Nuke) must be burned to a CD and run overnight.

Windows will need to be re-installed after this process is completed.

How can i reformat my laptop?

  1. First format all the other partitions in your system except the Drive in which the OS is installed.
  2. Most probably the OS drive is C: Drive.
  3. Then get an operating system CD/DVD Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7
  4. Then on start up insert the OS cd and select the option to install the OS.
  5. When you click next there will be an option to specify the Drive in which you will be installing the OS.
  6. Select the Drive in which the previous OS had been installed.
  7. Now in the next stage there will be option whether to install the OS with or without formatting Drive.
  8. Select the Format Drive Option and click Next.
  9. Congratulations you have formatted all the partitions in your System/Laptop/PC

How to formet my acer laptop

Back up your data. Before formatting your hard drive, it is essential that you back up all of the data you would like to access after the format is completed.
  • Step 2 Insert your Windows XP sp2 CD and restart your computer. If you own an Acer laptop, you most likely will be running Windows XP.
  • Step 3 Press "enter" when the welcome to setup page appears. Press the F8 key to accept the Windows licensing agreement.
  • Step 4 Select your CD drive as your boot device. You will want to boot your computer through the Windows start-up CD instead of booting from your hard drive.
  • Step 5 Follow the on-screen prompts and click "yes" when you are asked if you would like to format your C drive. If you click "yes," the formatting process will finish, and you will have successfully formatted your hard drive.

I need to format the laptop

If you do not have the drivers for the devices that are installed on your laptop, then download from the IBM/Lenovo WEB site, make sure they are for your model laptop (eg. Video, audio, modem LAN etc.) before you format and reinstall Windows..

    Follow these steps.
    1. Boot up the laptop and press F12 function key to get a list of boot devices, select the CD drive.
    2. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD drive.
    3. Press the space bar to start the bootup from CD
    4. During the install process you delete the existing partition/s and create a new partition.
    5. The next step is to format the partition - do a NTFS full format not a quick format
    6. Follow the instructions to install windows.
    7. After Windows completed the installation ,check on which device drivers didn't install and install these drivers.

    Want to erase drive

If your Laptop is purchased with Recovery Disk, you can use that disk to restore the default setting of your laptop. It usually FORMAT your hardisk and erase all programs and files saved on your Hardisk. If Recovery Disk is not available then you can simply use your provided Windows Installer to format your Laptop and install a Fresh Windows on your Laptop, be sure to format the Whole Disk Drive to erase the files.

    Gigabyte motherboard cd

You do not not need your motherboard CD to preform a format on your drive. Any windows CD. Win XP home, XP Pro, Win 2000 will format your hard drive. You can also use the hard drive's Mfg's utility disks & creat a bootable floppy disk or creat a bootable CDROM disk that will not only allow you to format the hard drive but also fun testing on the drive. You can even pick your cluster size & FAT file. Write down the name of your drive & model no#. Go to the Mfg's web site & download the utility software. Chances are Windows will have most of your boards drivers in it's data base. All you'll need to do is download from Gigabyte your missing drivers. You'll need you complete model no# & version no# if you can find it.
