Ac is putting humidity into the room air

I purchased this ac yesterday. My room is approz. 14X12. The man at the store I purchased this told me this unit would be big enough to cool m room

It is either freezing in my rrom or humid. I don't know what id cauring this.

The unit is now emitting a slushy sound.

I do not understand why the ac is emitting humidity where it is a good size for the room.

The slush or water slapping sound is that water bringing the humidity into the room.

I installed this myself, you can't return them so I need to find a way to resolve this.
Thank you

There are two three possibilities that has to be checked. 1) Is the ac turned to fan mode or AC mode.First check that.On fan mode it will not give much cool. 2) If the fitting of ac is not perfect then it will make the compressor of the ac got hot and humidity problem will arise. The compressor can be seen once the top cover of the ac is removed. It will also make noise if the compressor is getting blocked or the ac not fitted properly. 3) The drain pump of ac.The position of the drain pump should be towards outer side.If in case any of the drain water falling or leaking on the hot compressor then compressor will make noise and also the humidity problem will arise. Fitting the ac manually is not very hard job.But yes sometimes improper fitting causes this.Just get the ac fitting checked. This will most probably solve the humidity as well as water slapping sound problem. Thanks. keep updated for any more can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Ac is not damaged. Its the fitting that is making the compressor to go slow or not function properly.
The ventilation is ac getting blocked due to improper fitting,
Thanks for keeping updated with your query.

It seems that the you have damaged the AC while installing the same. Since its not getting cool and also making noise, primarily it indicates that the compressor has damaged. for water slapping there may be chances that the water line have some leakage.... I will personally advising you to take help of the local repairman or company mechanic. Local repairman will be cheap option and also they possess the knowledge and other tricks. After examination he will be able to tell you the exact cause for the problem....
Hope this has helped you... Thanks...

I am finding that the plasma cool ACW600C is leaking a lot of water

air conditions work by removing the humidity from the room air
very humid air will cause a lot of condensation in the evaporator section especially if you have it set below 25 c
keep all doors and windows closed to prevent fresh air bringing in more humid air as that makes it hard for the ac to work efficiently

My kenmore 12000 btu portable air conditioner keeps switching to DH mode out of AC mode

That means that it is dehumidifying. Is the air coming out still cold? I assume you have tried using the mode button to switch it back? Is the air extremely humid? Perhaps it is humid enough that the machine needs to dry the air before safely operating as an AC. The manual is available here:

I have water drips from the filter on my dometic ac. Then when you change the settings or turn unit off it drains more water. I noticed a lot of condensation in the area of the coil foam housing

Sounds like unit is too small or there is too high of humidity. An A/C unit draws water out of the air as it absorbs the heat from the room. If the room is too big or there is too high of humidity the evaporator will freeze the moister and ice will build up then it will drip when turned off as the ice melts. As a fix, You can get a bigger unit, use a dehumidifier ( which works the same as A/C), or start the A/C at a warmer temp.and turn down gradually as air moisture disappears.

Why is a brand new in wall ac not dehumidifying room

could be to small for room or could be to big for room. It the unit is too big it will cool the room down to fast and shut off to soon, this will not remove the humidity. Try running the unit on a lower temperature the slower the fan the colder the coil which will remove more humidity from room also make sure the fresh air vent is closed and not bringing humidity from out side.

Just take the humidity out. Even if you could operate both modes at the same time, the AC side would struggle, because dehumidify mode generates heat.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

If you are using this inside your home with central air running do you have to vent it to an outside window?

Yes, it must be vented to the outside, even if you're using central AC, too. The reason being is if you don't vent it to the outside, the hot air and humidity that normally goes thru the duct and out the window, will stay in the house and your Central AC will have to run longer and harder to overcome this rise in heat and humidity. In addition, the room that the portable AC is in, will get extremely hot & humid.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

There is moisture coming out of the AC vents on my daughters 2006 s40, usually during very hot weather and not until the car has been driven for several miles

The drain on the evaporator is stopped up,look for it directly bellow the ac lines ,where they go into the car, under the hood,it will be on the bottom of the blower box,use air pressure to blow into the drain to clear it out.

I have a GE air conditioner with ditigal panel. I

Wash out outside coil from time to time. This is the most over looked part of window units. Take care not to spray water directly into fan motor. If not real humid in house check temp coming out of ac inside and make sure filter and coil are clean. run on high speed and the air should have good force. 20 to 30 degree temp drop of room temp should be about right. Much depend on outside temp and humidity and indoor humidity plus insulation factor of area. How many people are in the area and if you keep unit on day and night .

New AC unit mist

It sounds like the unit is either level or tilted down in the front, not allowing the water to run to the back of the ac and the blower wheel is picking the water up and blowing it into the room.
You need to put a level on it and lower the back of the ac so the water the coil removes can run to the back of the unit and that should solve your problem.
