you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried
It sounds like the flash did not finish or hung while trying, I would think that you just bricked the phone. I have never heard of this test mode of the board, you normally use the keypad on the phone to enter it into test mode. If the phone does not post, I have never heard of a way to get it to reflash.
The first thing is to know if the phone dropped in salted or fresh water. If was in salted water, forget it, you let it pass so much time, but if was fresh water, try to open the phone ( get a Torx 6 or 8 screwdriver in home depot) and use pure alcohol with and old toothbrush and clean the mineral deposited on the circuits, gentle brush it and let it dry, then reasemble the phone a it will work perfect
I don't know but mine's doing the exact same thing. Mine also keeps the screen on almost all the time, sometimes it turns itself on and back off and back on for hours. Once every button EXCEPT the red button worked... and once only the top left button worked, so i could answer calls but couldn't hang up. My friends enjoyed messing with me for that one.
