Please check out the setup of your wireless internet. And then the settings of your adapter. They should have the same settings. If not, follow the settings of the wireless setup.

check for firmware update for your adapter...since it usb..u need to put it in open..i believed the USB extension is included when u purchased that.
do not connect the USB adapter to a USB hub unless the HUB is powered so that it can performed better. Connect it directly to your PC slot

if it's going offline, then it's losing the signal, or is recieving a low signal, it should be at 54mbps but when it gets below around 24mbps, it will disconnect and look for a stronger connection in your area, or disconnect from the net altogether.
Put your router in a higher and better line of sight to your adapter, walls and floors can block the signal and check that it's not your router that is losing the connection.
