Question about HP Computers & Internet
I encountered this yest.some sort of typewriter(continuous clicking nise) like noise coming from my hp dv2019ea.initially it was coming occasionally but later started coming frequently.can this be some sort of short circuit problem?
plz do let me know wat the problem is and how i can resolve it.thanx
Clicking is usually caused by your HDD (harddrive), system
fan, or your CD/DVD drive as they are normally the only mechanical devices
inside a computer. On a laptop it is common for the HDD to produce a clicking
noise as it may have developed a fault whilst being moved. If you listen and it
sounds like the HDD is clicking then you need to backup all of your data immediately
and replace the HDD with a new one as the HDD could die at any time.
If it sounds like the fan is clicking then clean it and check there is no debris or cables hitting it.
If your CD/DVD drive is making the noise then replacing it should resolve the problem.
Hope this helps,
