You need to use some sort of disk recovery software. Below is a link to a free package for personal use. Be sure to read the proper usage techniques before downloading and using the software.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do i connect my computer to my tv ?

I don't think your computer has the right connection, DMI or HDMI, Depends on your TV, I use a WI FI connection built into my TV, so it's on my home network, it also has USB ports to view Pics, Vids, etc. I don't know what TV you have?

Did you replace the hard drive? It is quite possible there is an issue with the drive at that age. YOu could try an application called "SpeedFan" or "HD Tune" and run a S.M.A.R.T test on it. This will help you determine the drive status. You can run a benchmark with "Hd Tune" and determine the speed of the drive. If you want to post your results, I will certainly help out further.

U should be having a Microsoft Windows sticker on the computer.
Use the product key on that to reactivate windows.
If that doesn't work, u will have to contact HP to get a recovery disc.

Jus keep me posted on your status.

I received a NTLDR is Missing on HP Pavilion a620n. This happened on Friday afternoon and I still can't get my Computer up and running. I was told I need Windows XP Recovery Disk. Where can I get this disk...

When you bought the computer it told you to make recovery disks. you apparently didn't.
You can buy the OS at a local store and do a system refresh which is really much better. None of your data or programs will be lost as thye would be with recovery disks.

Authenticity # of my 1998 HP Pavillion, lost the #

I had the same problem. On Microsoft website, it is mentioned that if you bought a computer with Windows already installed and you want to reinstall it, you have to contact the manufacturer's website of your computer. In my case, I had to contact Acer. The person at the support center told me that I need to download the .iso file from there website, the .iso file that corresponds to the model of my computer. She mentioned also that the recovery disks produced are needed during the installation. So, I suggest you contact HP to know if you need the product key to reinstall Windows, or like me, you have to download an.iso.

The computer still indicates low disk space and has not recognized theMY Book as additional **** space

Does it see your external hard drive at all? If so I hope you have like a 500 gb and transfer all your pics, vids and other data files over to your external to free up space on you computer hard drive.

Retieving Documents and Pics after system restore

Hello there.

Yes system restore is a double edged sword, i personally wouldn't use it for much.

Fear not as we can download all the drivers again and set things up to how they were.

Please click here if you wish to order a setup CD that contains all the drivers. This is only for US or Canadian residents.

Alternatively click here to get the page with all the drivers listed. You can download them one at a time. The drivers you need will be:

Realtek AC'97 Audio Driver Update
HP Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Driver Update
Agere Systems PCI Soft Modem Driver Update
and finally HP Update Security Vulnerability Update

The rest of the drivers should be set up nicely.

Please try these drivers and get back to us.

Hope this helps.
