If it is FAT32 you cannot use a 4 GB File. Try with NTFS drive.

Hello i m facing some problem i cant boot my windows through usb drive i will explain the process i have did to boot from usb drive. Before that i will give some information about my system please note...

Most of those Windows to USB applications are for creating an Windows USB installation, not actually installing an operational OS on the USB. Does that make sense?

You would have to run the setup and choose the drive to where to install the OS. This would mean you would have to do it from a CD/DVD disc or have two USB drives, but this may cause a conflict.

How to Convert .DMG to .ISO

Dmg file is the disc image file which is widely used by Mac systems. Most of Mac operating systems and applications are distributed in dmg files. On Windows PC, it is very convenient to manipulate dmg files with PowerISO. You can open dmg file, convert it to iso file, or burn it to a CD / DVD disc. To convert it to iso file, please follow the steps,

  • Run PowerISO.

  • Choose "Tools > Convert" Menu.

  • PowerISO shows Image Converter dialog.

  • Choose the source DMG file you want to convert.

  • Set the output file format to iso file.

  • Choose the output file name.

How will be able to down load this software?

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not distribute downloadable copies of their operating system. But there is a way to get a copy of your rightfully deserved software.

Warning: We will be using Torrents. Please if you take anything away from this be a responsible downloader and pay for software and media you enjoyed.

1. http://www.utorrent.com/ Download and install the uTorrent software.

2. http://thepiratebay.org/search/windows/0/7/0 Select your version of windows. If it is not listed, there is a search bar at the top of the page.

3. When you find your version, it will bring you to another page. Make sure to click "DOWNLOAD THIS TORRENT", there is a big misleading download button right above the correct button.

3. http://poweriso.com/ While that is downloading, download PowerIso. This is a free software, but like I said, if you like it buy it.

4. After your Operating System is done downloading, open up PowerIso by clicking on the golden disk either on your desk top, or in the icons in the lower right corner of your desktop.

5. In the PowerIso window, Click open, and find the path to where the operating system was downloaded. Usually in MyDocumentsDownloads. Open the .iso or .mdv file.

6. Insert a blank DVD in the drive and click "Burn" in the PowerIso window.

7. From here you can use the disk as you would your original operating system disk.

Sorry but you wont be able to put a file larger than 4gb due to file format limitation since you used fat32. only NTFS supports files larger than 4gb. if you want to use it with large files you need to format again using NTFS. hope that helps!

How to use a scanner?

What OS do you have? If you have a Windows XP or 2000, download and install the full-featured software and use the HP software to scan.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=306895&

If you have Vista and Win 7, HP doesn't have a full-software driver package. You will be using the drivers built into the OS.

For Vista, you can scan using the Windows Photo Gallery (File, Import from Scanner) or Paint (File, From Scanner or Camera) and with some versions Windows Fax and Scan (New Scan, File, Scan).

If you have Windows 7, Paint and Windows Fax and Scan will let you access the images/documents on the scanner.

In all cases, a good cable and ports will make scanning much less frustrating.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(alternatively, you could get third party software for Vista or 7. PaperPort is one example)

Error message if trying to save files larger than about 4GB.

The Buffalo Ministation hard drive comes with a default FAT32 file system. This file system is used for compatibility with Windows, MAC OS X, LINUX, etc. The file system does not allow files to exceed 4GB. To save larger files, the disc must be reformatted. For Windows, it should be reformatted to NTFS.

No the file type is DAA

Hi,
DAA file is a disk image format used by PowerISO; can be compressed, password protected, and split into multiple volumes; compressed DAA files can be extracted, mounted, and edited without being decompressed first.
PowerISO Direct-Access-Archive
DAA is a format for an image file, which supports some advanced features, such as compression, password protection, and splitting to multiple volumes (similar to .RAR and other compression formats).
for opening this download POWERISO
Thank you
