Yes, these can be adjusted. However you may want to make sure the inlet valve isn't just leaking and filling the tank, causing it to overfill. Call the guys at Plumbingmall.com 1-888-595-1122. Constant running can be due to a defective fill valve or faulty flapper. Try replacing either or both before discarding the entire toilet. One other possibility is that poor design results in poor operation.

Toilet will not Shut off!

the rubber flapper on the bottom of the tank is not seating on the drain and it is allowing water to leak out to the sewer, also check to see if water is too high in the tank and flowing out of the center overflow tube, if so adjust the height of the water level

Water is leaking out , close water off then water in tank goes empty. when water on you can hear water runing in tank

Your flush valve (flapper) is leaking. Some of these rubber flappers snap on to posts. Others, slide down the overflow tube. Others are the plunger type that lift straight up and down (some of these have a gasket on the bottom that go bad.) In any case be sure flapper closes properly. Make sure the chain to the handle isn't so long as to get between valve and seat holding flapper open. If all else fails buy a fluidmasgter flush fixer repair kit and follow directions. I had a similar problem one winter and wasted about 200.00 on water.,

Hi, i have a caroma duel flush toilet possibly 10 years old, it is leaking into the bowl and then constantly re filling, i replaced the washer/ring/ thing at the point where the water exits into the bowl...

First make sure it is not overfilling. The water level must stop before it reaches the overflow pipe. If it continues to run it will overflow into the bowl and continue to run. Adjust the fill level to the mark inside the tank. Make sure nothing is getting under the flapper and holding it open. You replaced the flapper so we know that is not the problem. Just make sure the flapper is centered on the drain hole.

Problem overflow valve

Firstly open the top of the Cistern(Where water is held)There are two most common Cistern internals ie;Ball-O-Stop(Ball on a arm connecting to valve). This one is easy, you just bend the arm downwards in the centre so that the ball shuts the valve at a lower level; The other type has a shaft(plastic) with a thread on it, connecting it to a "small bowl" that lifts up as water enters the cistern. To adjust the water level in cistern you have to turn the thread(Shaft) lowering the "small bowl" wich will shut the inlet to the cistern at a lower level. Hope this helps
