SOURCE: Could you tell me someone

If you cab salvage a few parts, you won;t have to purchase an entire new vent kit. You can find similar vent hose at any home center in the heating and cooling dept. Just take a piece of your old vent hose with you and match it up to one that same diameter. You can use your old termination and connect it to the new hose. You can do all of this fairly inexpensively.

Hope this helps and saves you a few $$ at the same time.

I'm replacing the blower motor on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I can't get to the last screw to remove the old motor

RTM, read the manual yet, amazing what can happen.
if you read it first. then ask questions.
chapter 24 is HVAC.
and here are the words.
is this AZC control or manual system (2 options day 1 new)
page 40
(1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
(2) Pinch the connector retainer and unplug the
blower motor wire harness from the blower motor
(Fig. 2).
(3) Remove the three screws that secure the
blower motor and blower wheel assembly to the
HVAC housing, using either a T-25 Torxt head or
flat-bladed screwdriver.
(4) Lower the blower motor and wheel from the
HVAC housing.
(5) Remove the blower wheel retainer clip (Fig. 3).
(6) Remove the wheel from the blower motor shaft.

my guess stuck at step3
use offset driver? screw drivers?
you may have to remove this 1 screw blind,
use mirror yet see if its been hacked? wrong screws. etc>
i have small torx bit drivers that fit 1/4" socket set drivers.
and can get to hard places.
try to know there are more than screw drivers as tools
lots or other tools sold for hard to get places.

Code error E7

I'm not sure if NewAir is made by Gree -- they supply many. On Gree units, E7 simply means one unit is requesting heating while another is requesting cooling and you can't have both at the same time. So that's the first thing to check. Very simple, very common, doesn't indicate that anything is wrong with the system.

I have a New air 1400H and the blower fan has broke, can you tell me where to find replacement parts for this unit? I understand it has been discontinued for almost 5 years. Thanks for your help.Cont

You may have to remove the complete blower assembly, remove any dead squirrels, and take it around to various appliance parts suppliers to obtain a suitable replacement. You may need only a replacement motor if the squirrel cage is intact

I turn the the fan on for the heating but the fan

Sounds like a seized up (bad bearings) blower motor. It may not pull enough current to blow the fuse at the lower fan settings but does at the high one. Something could also be jamming the blower fan in its air duct.

Most blower motors can be accessed under the hood. Replace the fuse then put the blower switch on one of the lower settings (don't blow the fuse). Get yourself a good sized screwdriver and hit the back of the blower motor with the screwdriver handle a couple of times.

Sometimes (unless the blower motor has totally seized up) you can get it to spin and this will tell you for sure you need a new blower. Other than that, you can get a spare blower motor, remove the connection wires from the old motor and hook them up to the new one to test before you go to the trouble of replacing the blower.

Hope this helps you out... -Dan

My dryer does not start.. when I push the start button all it does is hummmm... kind of like the motor is stuck or jammed. It did work last nite and this morning so I don't know... is it something...

Check for something jammed in the fan blower, worn glides or rear bearing jamming the drum, but unfortunately 9 times out of 10 this is a bad motor and you will need a new one.

Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assitance.

Cord snaped

I am assuming you are refering to the Starter cord. All the plastic pieces must be removed. Then the blower housing . Inside you will see the starter wheel that winds the cord. You must wind the wheel until it is not possible to wind anymore, dont force it.Secure the wheel by passing a screwdriver thru the wheel and thru the housing. Position the hole in the wheel with the hole in the blower housing where the cord comes in.Pass the cord thru both holes and knot the end inside the wheel. Use a lighter to melt the cord just a little so it will not come unknoted. Pull the screwdriver from the housing and slowley let the spring re-wind the cord.If its a 5 or 6 hp briggs it take about 88 inches of new cord.Hope this helps.
