What are the (combination of) procedures necessary after replacing a defective HDD to properly restart the DMR-EH65 DVD recorder?

I have the same problem.

After using this machine for couple of months, the device started to have an error on harddisk error and it won't start. My machine have been to the service centre for more than 3 times still the same. This machine is nothing compare to Sony and Pioneer.

hellow
before you replace your hdd ,,
step1. format the new hdd on the pc FAT system
step 2 . set the player 2 default set then replace the hdd..
