Question about SanDisk Sansa c200 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Certificate Hello. I have a sandisk 240 1gb. I am trying to get my rhapsody files to synk, but I keep getting this msg: A problem has occured in obtaining the devices certificate. I have deauthorized and reauthorized it in my account, unplugged it and pluged it back in and also into a different port. Please help. Willie.

No, I did not find a solution, but why in the world should I pay for you to fix something that I just bought a couple days ago, that didn't work out of the box. The store that I bought it from has a 30 day return policy, so I will not pay you, but I will take it back there so they can send it to you so you can repack it to ship it back to the store and resell it, and then I'll buy another brand name while I am at it. Then you want me to take more time and tell you how to tell the next guy to fix the same problem? Sounds a little crazy doesn't it? Thanks for all your help. Willie.

New C240 has no USB option in Settings

Sorry about the delay...I understand that you are getting device certificate error..There are two ways you can solve the device certificate..the first one is by formatting your device and the second one is by updating the firmware..I understand you have done that already..maybe something went wrong when you were doing the firmware upgrade..You should be able to transfer music from rhapsody to your device..You have to make sure that the songs you are trying to transfer to your device have the proper license..If after you have done all the steps above you are still having the same problem..you can contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you..or you can contact sandisk at 1-866-726-3475..I hope that helps

Sansa e200 resetting problem

The error message means that you have a different version.

Your device is annotated with an R or the word Rhapsody on the back. I have contacted FIXYA to add these models, but my words were unheard.

You will need to contact SanDisk for the Rhapsody version of the files to fix your problem.

Obtaining device certificate

It may be that you have to update your DRM component licenses on your PC. http://home.real.com/product/help/chandler/en/TS_error_Authorize,_License,_DRM_Rights.htm or, your Helix components may be damaged, or corrupt. http://reclisten.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/reclisten.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=6203 If either of those dont work. You should format the player to delete everything and re-transfer them to your device. If that doesnt resolve it, you might have to contact Rhapsody. That software only works with the non-Rhapsody versions, hence the error message. You can call technical support and they can walk you thru the fix. Its too much to type. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475 Best of Luck.

Device Certificate

Here is the message I was getting; "Windows Media Player cannot synchronize or burn the protected file because the Player cannot verify that the license is valid. A problem occured while contacting the Internet to determine the current date and time." I looked at my device, Sansa e260, and the time was off by 1 hr. and 10 min. I corrected the time on the device and it worked fine after that......
