Question about Acer Aspire 4520-5582 Notebook

2 Answers

Would someone please tell me if I have a battery problem or a fried suffocated Acer problem? My Acer 4520 was setup on a mattress bed then placed into hibernate mode after an hour. 20 minutes later I heard a strange PC tone. I was unable to turn the PC back on. I thought maybe the battery just got run down. I plugged in the Charger and got a yellow charging battery light. I hit the power button then all lights flashed and then turned off. After several tries I removed the battery and plugged in the charger again. The same result happens with all lights flash then turning off each time with no response from the PC. TIA, Ted

I don't think that it's hard disk problem either.
Check if you can at least access to Bios (turn the computer on & by pressing the F2 key when the system starts). If yes, it's not cpu or motherboard problem either.

Obviously it's not a battery problem. When you power on Acer, there's some running noise or not ? If there's such noise & just LCD has no sign of life, and you can't even access to Bios, it's just LCD cable connection problem. Often, LCD cable is disconnected from motherboard. It can ba happened very easily on shaking your laptop. It's possible that your hard disk is sick, then your Bios can't ditect its presence;

I have a Parsons metal ledge platform bed and I'm worried the mattress is not going to stay in place. What should I do?

I have the exact same bed and since the mattress sits right on top of the frame, I worried about this as well! Since you (no offense:) and the mattress weight a lot combined, I have you don't need to worry about it sliding off the frame. If for some reason it does move a bit, i suggest securing the mattress to the frame with velcro strips that can be purchased at any Ace or Home Depot.

What is the difference between a sofa-bed and a futon?

One of the major differences between these two items is the mattress. On a sofa-bed the mattress is attached to the frame; whereas on futons, the mattress is separate and needs something to be held in place. In regards to futons, the cushion is the mattress.

My acer aspire won't power up

Hi,
Try to connect your PC with the battery on the power outlet if it lights and charge normally. If the lights still orange, try to open the hard disk case and pull it out then try to put it in place again. If still doesn't go, try the memory card and clean it.
But I suspect that the battery has been overly charged. Try to look for another battery of the same model if it works with another and new battery.
Thanks

Changing from a crib to a toddler bed

1-Lower drop side to lower position. Then on the opposite side of the crib, remove stationary side. To remove stationary side, press the small tab on the end hardware(brown plastic piece that connects the rail to the frame) and then pull rail up.
2-Before reinstalling the conversion safety rail(csr), remove the mattress support bolt that is on the side the the csr opening will be(the foot of the bed). A new bolt will be used to reattach the mattress support in the next step.
3-Slide csr hardware onto the hardware on the crib ends. Insert two 1/4-20x2" bolts into each end. One bolt will replace the mattress support removed in step 2. Be sure to put the bolt back through the mattress support bracket before screwing into the end.

I have the instruction page with pictures if you would like a copy emailed.
