My Jandy LAARS LT400N-L Pool Heater is not working properly. I am getting the error "Service" and "AGS". If I press the gray button in between "pool" and "spa" it will force it to cycle through and then start but the heater will not start automatically. It doesn't do this every day but does this frequently enough that it is keeping the pool from heating. The filters/pump have been recently serviced.

AGS stands for Automatic Gas Shutoff. This means the heater failed to sense a flame or flame rectification. When this occurs, the the gas valve will close as a safety precaution. The heater will have to be reset to get another call for heat.

The heater won't fire up if there is no or inadequate water flow. Ck water pump and filters.
