Make sure that you have transferred songs with SonicStage and not any other software. If you used a software other than SonicStage, format the WALKMAN with the menu itself and transfer songs with SonicStage.Get SonicStage from link below:http://download.cnet.com/Sony-Connect-SonicStage/3000-2141_4-10375164.html

You need to connect up USB cable and then go to Windows Media Player program and WMP will guide you on how to download music
