Some trojans can be cleaned from a PC using software called Malwarebytes. It is available at http://malwarebytes.org.

Download, Install and run the quick scan.
You will be shown a list of infections.
Click Remove All
Reboot.

If for any reason Malwarebytes will not run follow the instructions below:

1. Download Install and DO NOT RUN Malwarebytes.
2. Start Windows Explorer:

  • Start
  • Type Explorer
  • Hit Enter
3. Find the folder for Malwarebytes
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Rename the file mbam.exe ( You may only see the mbam part)
  • Call it runme.exe(or just runme- if you do not see the exe extension)
4. After renaming it and before exiting from Explorer, double click on runme.exe
5. Click Quick Scan
6. Remove all
7. Reboot

Please reply to this post to get additional help.

There is no charge to download and run Malwarebytes.
Is this what you are talking about?

There is a free copy of the program at http://malwarebytes.org.

Norton did not block Trojans on your machine because it is not designed for this type of infection. You can read about products that help this athttp://spywaretruth.net. Thanks for using FixYa.com

Virus on pc. installed norton internet security.

Never before have I heard of a VIRUS installing ANTI-VIRUS software. I have had intermittent mouse problems before though. Thought it was a virus, as I interchanged with like 4 other (used) mouses (mice?) and there was no change. Found a fifth used mouse-a genuine Microsoft mouse (I was running Vista 64bit Home Premium) and installed it and my mouse problem disappeared ("installing new device"). I couldn't figure it out for the longest time, (still can't), I'm just glad it cleared up.
I run AVG FREE antivirus software and Ad-Aware anti-spyware (also FREE). I run both of those at least once a week, in addition to defragmenting once a week, haven't had a problem since.

Operating System infected by Trojan Horse. My

Restart your computer, and keep pressing F8, until you get the Windows "start-up" menu -- white text over a black background.
Choose "Safe Mode", and see if you can logon.

Then, try one (or more) of the anti-virus scanners listed at:
http://www.facebook.com/security?v=app_10442206389

Or, follow the "best practises" recommended by Microsoft:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc700813.aspx
and backup your data files, reinstall Windows & your anti-virus software,
and reload your data files.

Help please i am infected with a trogan horse and my avg hasnt healed it. I is titled as a Trogan Horse Generic 14 BUEO. Its path to file and its location are within my Optus wireless broadband usb...

This link may help you through the process, However, I would strongly advise you stop using AVG and go for Avast! It is also free and has a much higher rating for finding viruses and trojans.

I wouls also suggest installing, HiJack this and Adaware!

If this has helped please vote kindly

After norton 2006 update on pc, ie7 dissapears and ie6 does not connect with internet

you may try using mozilla firefox as an alternative to ie. it's free and just as easy to use as ie. i myself have adheard many problems with ie and believe it to be programing conflicts. although microsoft and norton would have to resolve those issues.

Windows trogan?

ya its probably a virus infection.
If possible run online scans... or install new antivirus software and scan your sys.
If nothing of this is possible or if they are not working..
its safer to reinstall Vista
