Electrolux dishwashers have a defective sealant that brakes down after about 2 years and leaks from the joins in the external stainless steel 3 piece liner. The other isssue the have is the feed tube to the top water jet splits due to **** poor materials. The build qualily is pathetic and they leak like a sieve after a couple of years due to manufacture using **** sealant.
They cant build front loaders either as the bearings in the tub disinegrate after 2 years . Of course the last the warranty period then they expect you to buy a new one. NOT BLOODY LIKELY, BUY A BOSCH DISHWASKER NEXT TIME

I also have had problems with mine. I originally bought a floor model and it was only $500 so I thought - lets give it a try. I installed it myself and it is very quiet, but average at cleaning dishes. It also developed the error 1 code - I took it out and flipped it over and took off the pan and tightened the hoses. The problem went away for a while ( 6 months) , then returned. I took it back out and thought I could find the leak. (this was yesterday). It was also leaking a little on the floor toward the end of the cycle. I put it up on some 4 x 6's and took off the pan and ran it on a normal wash. After about 10 min it started dripping into the "pan area" . What I found however was that it was not from the motor, but was coming from the front door seal/pan. I took apart the front door ( remove the screws from the inside (but leave the top philips screws!) and ran it again. What I found was that at the corners of the door, water was running outside the seal, slowly filling up the front little lip, and then leaking out. There is a gray plastic shield below the lip held by 2 screws ( I think for sound insulation) which would then catch the water and channel it back inside the machine that would cause the error 1 code!. What I did at this point was open the door and lift part of the gasket from the bottom ( it was a little loose) and realized that it was allowing water to dribble out past the gasket, catch on the lip, overflow over the lip, and cause the problem. I then pulled out ~ 4 inches of the gasket, and put silicone in the channel, and reapplied the gasket. Also, I lifted the corner rubber gasket ( bottom corner where the hinge meets) away from the wall and then applied silicone. I waited overnight and reran the dishwasher this morning watching for the leak and- NO LEAKS! I also put a large swath of silicone on the gray plastic below the lip so water can't go into the pan and set off the alarm, and I also put a door vinyl weather stripping glued to the lip to add a little height in case it starts to leak again. Well - all is well now ? for how long? But I could at least see the problem (their design problem) It took me a few hours, but so far so good. If any major thing happens to this dishwasher again however, I will trash it and get a bosch or kitchenaid/kenmore elite. hope this helps

How do i fix electrolux dishwasher when error code 1 is flashing

Hello friend, thanks for your post!

I see your Electrolux dishwasher is displaying an "E1" error code. "E1" stands for a leak detected which means your dishwasher base has detected a leak. If you can't see a leak you may want to perform a reset on your dishwasher you can do that by disconnecting the power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes.

If that does not correct the issue you may want to seek assistance from a technician. They would need to come out to diagnosis and repair your dishwasher. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt

Electrolux dishwasher giving error code 1?

Good Morning Brian,

I understand that you are receiving an error code 1 on your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EWDW6505GS. Error 1 is stating that water has been detected underneath the tub. Check underneath your dishwasher by taking off the kick plate below the door. If you do not notice any water underneath the tub or any types of leaking, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 20-30 minutes. When the time has passed, restore power, and run any cycle. If you are still receiving error code 1, I suggest you contact your local authorized technician for further assistance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Damper vents

Hello.

I own the Electrolux EWDW6505GS--0 {24'' Built-In Dishwasher with Wave-Touch® Controls}

On two occasions I have had the "Error 04
Drying Damper - Drying damper not operating"

In each case, I found the plastic 'ring nut' RETAINER in the upper right top of the machine had come loose. I simply unscrewed the retainer, wiped the area down, and re-screwed the ring on hand tight.

Sincerely,
Patrolcats

Wave touch electrolux error 01

Hi - Error code E01, typically indicates that a water leak has been detected under the tub. Unit may possibly need a hydraulic kit; however I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.
