Question about Blanco Classic Single Handle Faucet with Pull-Out Spray ....

1 Answer

Blanco 2.2 GPM Faucet/Side Spray#157-013ST Via Google NO PRESSUR

When we bought the house the Faucet Flow was a stream about size of TIP of automatic pencil. NO PRESSURE. After daily use for 4 months, the size of water is about the size of an eraser on a wood pencil. NO PRESSURE. The separate side Sprayer unit has NO WATER at all. Cleaned tip of Faucet. Had water presure to the house checked by plumber-Good. Suggestions are that we need a new Faucet. Since there seems to be an improvement in the water supply I feel there could be a way of fixing these units. I have been told there is a limited warrantee on the faucets.

IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO SAVE THESE UNIT?

Try unscrewing the aerator and cleaning the screen that you'll find there. If that doesn't work then you should check the pressure under the sink by removing the cold water hose from the cutoff valve (turn it off 1st!). If the pressure there is good then try removing and cleaning the cartridge by soaking it overnight in white vinegar or consider replacing the whole faucet if it's old. You can also call Blanco and see what they'll do for you as it has a "Limited Lifetime Warranty." If the pressure at the cutoff is low it's time to call a plumber!

I have found through experience that most of the time when water flow is reduced out of the spicket that the spicket screen is plugged up. Try to unscrew the spicket nozel tip and the screen should be inside of it. Look and see if there is something plugging it. If not vissible, clean the screen by running fluid through it backwards.

Just installed a new Blanco Torino, model 157183, and inadvertantly got saw dust in the waterline during installation. It is restricting the pressure on the faucet. What is best way to clean it out?

I would try to unscrew the spray head from the hose and turn the water on to see if you get good flow from the hose. If so you need to clean the head, if not you will have to start taking the faucet apart and cleaning or possibly replacing the cartridge

Remove water saver device from Blanco Grace kitchen faucet

Remove the aerator at the end of the spout. It will unscrew and once off it will have a dime sized restricter in it that can be removed this restrict's the water down to about 1.6 gpm to save water.
It will either be plastic or metal and about the size of a dime with a small holw in it to let water pass by maybe 1/8" hole just remove it and put aerator back together.

Clean aerator screen out before you put it back together.

wow... I wish you hadn't gone thru the expense of replacing the faucet... it's perfectly good... your problem was the aerator, it unscrews at the tip of the water spout and had collected too much sediment which eventually blocked water flow. Often happens quickly after your water is shut off at the main valve. Aerators cost about 50 cents...

Low water pressure/slow flow Blanco Elan faucet 2.2 gpm

pull the sprayer out, get some plyers or a wrench and losen up the connection. between the hose and the sprayer there is usually a screen take it out and walla it should take care of you, it also helps to leave the sprayer in some lime away or vinegar for a few hrs to get the hard water losened up in it
